    After a bit of a hiatus, the Once-Over is back with a bunch of new episodes! In this one, Jason and Judy review Mandy, a phantasmagorical Nicholas Cage revenge tragedy that is just as beautiful and haunting as it is confusing. Listen as we try to make sense of this mythical 3-act gore machine. Apologies for the sound quality, we got a new microphones after recording this!

    Ep. 22: Friday the 13th PART VI

    We're back with another episode reviewing the Friday the 13th franchise. Here, we mostly focus on PART VI The Final Chapter, but since all of these movies kind of blend together, we didn't feel the need to release individual episodes for each one. Who is Jason Vorhees? How often does he use his machete? Why are the characters in this movie renting a cabin near Crystal Lake, instead of being at the camp? Most importantly, what the hell was Corey Feldman aka Tommy Jarvis doing at the end? Listen as we dissect this movie, especially Crispin Glover's dancing.

    Ep. 21: Friday the 13th PART II

    In this episode, Jason and Judy give Friday the 13th PART II a once-over. Where is PART I, you ask? Well, Judy watched it on her own and gave a brief overview in this recording, but if you haven't seen it, watch it immediately! The Friday the 13th movies are so fun, and basically started the whole "horny teenagers get mauled by a serial killer" slasher trope, so it's worth a watch!

    Welcome back to The Once-Over! It's our 20th episode, and what better movie franchise to revisit than the latest instalment in the Alien universe? In this episode, Jason and Judy analyze the motivations of David, the evil(?) synthetic that dominates yet another movie with questionable creepiness.
