Hi my name is Bailey and I’m ten years old. My dad introduced me to your podcast a few weeks ago and now it’s the only thing we listen to in the car aside from Disney music. My family and I are HUUUUUUUUUUUGE Disney fans and have been to Disney world twice and have been on two disney cruises and are about to go on a back to back on the wish in June. I have never listened to podcasts, but I recently started travel nursing (to afford the amount of Disney trips we want to go on haha). My drive to and from work now is almost 2 hours just one way and I am being tested for narcolepsy soon (scary I know). I knew music wasn’t cutting it to help me stay awake anymore so That’s when I decided to find a Disney podcast and stumbled upon yalls podcast. Just talking and hearing about Disney boost my endorphins long enough to safely make it to and from work. Then when Leslie said she worked as a nurse it kind of seemed meant to be for me to find this podcast! Yall have become my life savers (literally). My family and I are avid Disney lovers so hearing and learning things I didn’t know is super exciting. Our next trip is in November and we are counting down the days! Ps- I need help convincing my husband moving to Florida would be the best decision ever 🤣

I’ve been to Disneyworld. And I wish I knew about this podcast before I went two years ago! As a Californian I go to Disneyland. My mom grew up near Disneyland and would go there A LOT. There is just something about Disneyland… that Universal can’t replace. About Disney parks in general. I don’t know if it’s the sweet “popcorn scent” tactic they use on Main Street, or that they put the perfect color schemes along with an atmospheric blend that pleases our senses, or simply the fact that it’s a whole different universe. But it’s not giving the impression of a place that’s trying to be flashy, cool, or “so in” the way universal tries to be. Yes, it’s a different universe. But even when you first walk into the park, it’s a place that you have always longed for—even if you didn’t know it yet. Maybe it’s so special because of the history it carried with it. Walt was present in that park. The park was designed in Disney’s prime time. New technologies were developed in that decade. Yes, new technologies were introduced in the 50s, and were being installed into the park; but technologies always balanced “old meeting the new”. They were installed with decorative designs sought-after in older times. But it’s what made them have character, unlike our dull, personality-lacking architecture we see today. And universal was built later than disney. But maybe what makes Disneyland so special are the footprints left by families coming to Disney throughout the 70 years. You can still feel their essence. Maybe we’ll never know, but I do know one thing—Dan and Lesly are definitely Disney people! In fact, “dan” and “Lesly” have letter from “Disney” in their names. “D”, and “ly” sounds like “ey”. “Desly” sounds like “Disney” 💙🖤🪄🐭
