Notre Dame: What's happening?
N is for the Notre Dame. In this episode, you'll hear about where we're at with the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral.
Short answer: It will reopen December 2024.
Long answer: I chat to one of the carpenters involved in the restoration project, I visit the new Virtual Reality exhibition (which is exceptional), and I take a look in the crypt.

Customer Reviews
Listen to this podcast! You will not be disappointed!!
I never had the desire to listen to a podcast until four years ago when I found myself in the car more and needed to be entertained. I stumbled upon The Earful Tower and have been hooked since! Oliver even does live walks around Paris - usually for Patreon members, of which I am a proud member. Oliver and our Earful Tower Patreon community even helped one another feel less alone during the pandemic. He has created such a beautiful thing!
But back to the podcast - that's why you are reading this, right? Oliver started out as a journalist and it shows. He has a very interesting interviewing style and really knows how to ask the questions that hold the listener's interest. He is also incredibly at ease in front of the microphone and camera. So much so, that after following him for several years, you feel like you have a friend in Paris! And I can't forget his lovely wife, Lina. The episodes that she is on really shine as well. They are a fabulous duo!
I have been a fan of Paris for decades, but I feel like I know it SO much better after meeting Oliver and his podcast. He has not lost his childlike curiosity and will take you to places you never knew existed and never knew you needed to explore. Follow his guidance and you will be finding out new things about the City of Light for years to come!
My Favorite Podcast
If you want to feel like you are in Paris, this is the show for you. It is an informative and fun trip through Paris, including the occasional expert guest. Recently, the trip to the various 1910 flood markers was excellent and the video makes me long for Paris. Thank you for making a show that gets my mind off the world’s difficulties for awhile.
Eggsellant!
So many of my podcasts these days are angry or depressing or political. The earful Tower is my refuge from that. It’s always a fun and interesting listen! Oliver and his wife Lina do an amazing job - not too long and zero ads! I have sent episodes to my relatives in France, and even they find it fascinating. Keep up the good work!
