86 episodes

Based on the iconic, Emmy-nominated series on A&E, this show explores some of the most difficult-to-solve murders, which stymied investigators and went cold, sometimes for decades. In fact, one-third of all murders in America remain open. But thanks to dogged investigators and breakthroughs in forensic technology, these cases become part of the rare 1% of cold cases that are ever solved. Hosted by Brooke Gittings ("Convicted" and "Actual Innocence") and featuring the voice of original Cold Case Files host, Bill Kurtis.

Why the mispronunciations of last name

I enjoy this podcast and unlike most opinions I don’t mind Brooks voice. However, the episode about the Black Dahlia is killing me... Brooke is consistently mispronouncing Steve Hodel and Dr. Hodels last name... it’s his last name and he keeps say DELL yet Brooks says DUL. I’ve listen to the Root of Evil podcast and watched the TNT show — this mistake is cringeworthy every time she says it. Why didn’t the editors correct this blatant mistake before uploading for the masses.

Sorry it’s driving me mad!
