    Legend (1981) - You Can't Curry Love - Tim Curry Tribute

    We do have a theme for this month but first we pay tribute to the man who first gave us Pennywise, and one of the best looking devils out there, Tim Curry. We recently lost him after a long battle with declining health, and had to give the LEGEND his due, with a review of a film that might not be exactly horror, but he is Satan basically so that counts for something. Oddly not based on Jeff Foxworthy's unheard of collaboration with Sean Cunningham, but on a series of tweets that got the Shit My Dad Says treatment. This features Fran Kranz and Allyson Hannigan deducing the most obvious plot twist in a movie that suffers more chronal whiplash than pulp fiction, and the amnesia of the hangover as the killer tries to recall his night of slaughter.     We have hit the most ambitious of summer camp slashers; an excursion into grief, friendship, tropes, and fate, this was written by someone processing their feelings of loosing a parent known for being a horror icon. It follows Max, the daughter of a scream queen, who find herself literally IN her mothers most famous movie, Camp Bloodbath. With her friends, and their knowledge of the film, they must decide whether to ensure their own survival or somehow defy the script to also save the campers fated to die, including her mothers character.
