Rugby Wrap Up

There are a lot of good rugby pods out there, but Matt’s show has to be top 1 or 2. Love the guests, the laughs and of course the insight. Matt is a fantastic host and great interviewer.

Please talk less about Iona on the college show. It’s gotten old. Plenty of other programs to talk about.

Short, bald man full of funny quips and impressions continually questions why he started a show about rugby in New York. Interviewing a range of players and guests including (Sir) Lizard Lewis whose wit, candor and incredibly terse delivery is Scottish in every way possible. Other recurring guests include a deranged (but lovable, like the way you like your gramps) Irishman, a gentle (also short and bald), kind and well informed Canadian, and the shockingly dry (but always informative) British guardian writer. Matt and his team are simply the best. They understand the American rugby landscape, and cover stories that affect the game at all levels. Simply put, if you are not watching (or listening, ... but remember, it’s a SHOW, not a podcast) on a weekly basis then you are uniformed as a rugby player in the states. Thanks Matt for putting out a good product each week, for continually asking hard questions of the entire rugby community, and most importantly for not taking yourself too seriously ... that’s what makes the show tick, humor with a wink 😉

Simply the most informed and relevant avenue for USA rugby news! Needs to be a 1 hour weekly show on The Rugby Channel...TRC needs them more than they need TRC. Awesome podcast!
