    237. Some people want to control your growth

    Why do some people react negatively when you try to better yourself? I remember when I was in the Air Force and the other occasion in the church. Both times I had two people who asked me why I was trying to better myself. I was studying to get promoted and the person in the Air Force asked me. ‘why are you trying to get promoted?’ It was the same thing when I thought I wanted a doctorate degree. I had a goal of getting a doctorate degree by age 40 and and when when I told someone that in the church, her attitude was the same, ‘why do you want to get a doctorate degree?     236. Let your voice speak for itself

    There were at least three major places where I let others muzzle my voice. I take 100% responsibility because I was a willing participant, and I signed off on it, whether I knew it or not. In retrospect I figured it out. Those different places where my voice really didn’t matter too much, majorly it didn’t matter, were the Air Force, the church, corporate America, and when I became a teacher, so in education. The reason for my silence was because I simply did not believe who God told me I was, so I didn’t speak up. I did speak in other instances in all of those places, but I did not speak enough, that I eventually lost out in so many ways. But because I’m here telling you about it, did I really lose out?     235. You’re giving people permission to muzzle your message and voice

    As I was out walking my 4-legged baby, I wanted to drop a few wisdom nuggets for you. These are some of the things on my mind regarding letting people who get a kick out of muzzling your voice and your message. When you allow that, you are stagnating the power God has placed in you because you are around people who are afraid to step out themselves. They have not stepped out regarding doing something the Lord God told them to do They may have a full-time job and may even be beast mode on that job. They may handle themselves in a professional manner on that job, but when it comes to stepping out further and expanding the gift that lives inside them, they do nothing. They just dream of what they want to do. They talk about it, but they are not about it. Perhaps it may be time for you to get away from those naysayers.     234. Why jealous people hate your success and fear your voice

    A few years ago, I had this dream and it was about a person who was close to me. It was a dream that God showed me regarding this person, and it was filled with confirmation after confirmation that this person was jealous, and although I knew, it was pretty difficult because this person was pretty fun to be around, but I saw the red flags I saw the hints and I saw the clues, nevertheless I had to make some decisions and one of those decisions was distancing myself from this person, and I’ve done it ever since. In this episode, we’re talking about why jealous people hate your success because they fear your voice.     233. God gave you a voice for stages and platforms

    In the episode I want to remind you that you have a voice for stages and platforms and not just any voice. It’s a voice from the Lord God that carries purpose, authority, and impact. Now let me say this right at the beginning that your voice is not random or accidental. God was intentional and strategic when He gave it to you. Yes, your story, your experiences, your perspective, and even your voice tone with on purpose. Every part of you was designed for influence. The challenge isn’t that you don’t have a voice. The challenge is that dumb fear that tries to convince you not to use it. But today, that ends. Because when God calls you to speak, He equips you to stand. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That means fear is not your portion when it comes to showing up on stages, in meetings, on podcasts, or even live videos.     232. Your voice isn’t the problem, it's THIS

    Do you know you can speak with power and boldness? It's not your voice that is the problem. It's the hesitation, the overthinking, and the fear that is creeping in before you even open your mouth. That’s not cool.  In this episode I'm talking about the things that have been trying to silence you and in some cases those negative voices are winning. Let's get to the root and the bottom of why you feel stuck or unsure when it’s time to speak. As a reminder, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Remember that and remember who sent you.
