The concept of this podcast is great: Go through one of the best films of all time minute by minute and analyze it for interesting insights and perspectives. There was a podcast a few years ago that used the minute by minute concept on the movie Goodfellas, and that podcast was fantastic. The problem with THIS podcast is that this great concept is in the hands of two bumbling, stumbling idiots. It is so frustrating and annoying to listen to the episodes of this podcast because three quarters of the time the hosts are not actually analyzing the minute in question, but are talking about some topic that had nothing to do with The Godfather. Their voices sound like the voices of grown men, but the content of what they say sounds like the stuff adolescent boys would talk about on a sleepover. I can understand an off topic discussion every once in a while, but with these two dolts, every single episode is an off topic discussion three quarters of the time. One example is that in the minute discussing Sen. Geary at the brothel in Part 2, the hosts spend the time discussing subway floors and fax machines. There are so many levels on which this great trilogy of movies could be discussed at a high level, but these two hosts have the mentality of idiot boys trying to make each other laugh. They sounds like the kids who never took anything seriously in school. If you love The Godfather, stay away from this podcast - these nincompoops will ruin it for you. One day, hopefully, someone will do a minute by minute podcast that is worthy of the trilogy. Until then, listen to The Goodfellas Minute or episodes of The Rewatchables on the trilogy instead.
