Keeping Me Company

I am a high school teacher. I drive 30 minutes each way to teach at my rural high school in Georgia. I am also a progressive Christian struggling to find places to fit in in the Bible Belt and the South. John and Jennifer have been my companions back-and-forth to work, and I have engaged in every discussion they have had on the podcast (whether they heard me or not). This has been a lifesaver, and I have experienced so many moments where I realize I am not alone and I’m not crazy. :) Thank you for the bravery to ask questions and challenge the listener with new ideas.

Love it!!

I absolutely love this podcast and the main thing I love about it is that John is “just a guy”. He is real and raw and vulnerable with all of the things he has gone through with deconstruction. He feels like a friend already… And I love the books he chooses and his mild obsession with Michael and Lisa Gungor.

Disappointed

Water down Christianity teachings.
