Beholding Prayer | Window of The Soul

I've released a new book! Beholding: Deepening Our Experience of God is an invitation to a God-soaked life of seeing and being seen by God. It tells my story, the story of consumerism in our times, and invites the reader into spiritual renewal through a recalibration of what we mean when we say the word, prayer.

To celebrate I'm sharing an episode here from the book's experiential accompaniment the Beholding Prayer podcast which hosts guided prayer meditations for you to practice in your own time and space.

Window of The Soul is the first of these.

Goodness Has Some Bite (on the counter-cultural nature of godly goodness)

Goodness Has Some Bite (on the counter-cultural nature of godly goodness)

To close Season 3 of the CC Podcast I want to share with you a written homily I shared  with a local church earlier this month. It's about the spiritual fruit of goodness, and how we reclaim goodness in a cultural context in which it basically means whatever we feel or personally believe it is. Thank so much for listening to this season!

As always a big ol' thanks to Jonathan Class for helping to produce this podcast with me.

If you like the music from this episode you'll find it on our first EP 'LAUDS' under Commoners Communion & Jonathan Class on Spotify and all other streaming platforms. All music is written, performed and produced by the incredible Jonathan Class (thanks brother!)

Blessing

Strahan and what he brings to the earth is a blessing from God. He inspires me so much

Thankful

I first heard Strahan’s words in 2020 in a poem called “Never Alone” are while watching a live music set by Cageless Birds. Those words have been such a comfort to me over the years. And every encounter I’ve had since has been like scales falling off! His words have become an open door into a brand new way of experiencing my life with God!

What a Blessing

It’s kind of hard to describe how poignant Stranz words have been over the past few months of listening to this podcast. Even though he lives on the other side of the world, it seems as if he’s living in the same community that I am – experiencing the same things that I am. In someways, I’m sure that he is. His wisdom and leader ship have given words to my feelings time and time again and have led me to the exact place I needed to go – to Christ! I’ve never left a review for anything… But if you are considering listening to this podcast, no matter your religious background or where you are in your walk with Jesus if you have a walk with Jesus, this is a man worth listening to.
