    Stories From The Heart

📚🎶 Stories from the Heart — The Books of Deacon Pat Kearns Over the years, I've had the blessing of writing books that reflect so many parts of my life's journey—my Catholic faith, my family, the struggles I've witnessed, the lessons I've learned, and the incredible power of God's grace. From novels filled with unforgettable characters to spiritual reflections, devotionals, workbooks, and children's adventures, each book carries a little piece of my heart. I recently wrote a song called "Stories from the Heart" to celebrate these books and, more importantly, the reasons I wrote them. Some stories are meant to make you smile. Others may bring a tear to your eye. Some are written to challenge you, strengthen your faith, or remind you that no matter what life brings, God is never far away. My hope has always been simple: If even one person finds encouragement, healing, laughter, or a deeper relationship with God through something I've written, then every hour spent writing was worthwhile. 🎵 I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to my new song, Stories from the Heart. 📚 And I invite you to explore my books on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Deacon-Pat-Kearns/author/B004XQOY9K Thank you to everyone who has supported my writing, read one of my books, or shared my work with someone else. Your encouragement means more than you know. Every book tells a story. Every story has a purpose. And sometimes, the right story finds us just when we need it most. God bless you! — Deacon Pat Kearns #StoriesFromTheHeart #DeaconPatKearns #CatholicAuthor #ChristianBooks #FaithAndFamily #InspirationalBooks #CatholicJourney

God, What If I Have Wasted My Life

GOD, WHAT IF I'VE WASTED MY LIFE? 🎙️ THE QUESTIONS WE ARE AFRAID TO ASK GOD Episode 7 | The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns Have you ever looked back over your life and wondered if you made the right choices? Maybe you spent too many years working and not enough time with your family. Perhaps there are relationships you wish you could repair, opportunities you let slip away, or dreams you never pursued. And as the years pass, a difficult question sometimes begins to surface: “God, what if I've wasted my life?” It's a question that becomes especially meaningful as we grow older and realize just how quickly life passes. In this seventh episode of The Questions We Are Afraid to Ask God, we explore the burden of regret, the fear of missed opportunities, and the extraordinary mercy of a God who never stops calling us. Through the stories of Saint Peter, the workers in the vineyard, and the good thief on the cross, we'll discover that our mistakes don't have to define us, our accomplishments don't determine our worth, and it's never too late to turn toward God. ❤️ The fact that you arrived late does not mean you arrived too late. Maybe your life hasn't turned out the way you imagined. Maybe you're carrying regrets that nobody else knows about. But God isn't finished with you. There are still people to love, relationships to heal, acts of kindness to offer, and opportunities to grow closer to Christ. Join me for this heartfelt reflection on growing older, finding purpose, accepting God's forgiveness, and discovering that the years ahead can still be filled with meaning. You cannot go back and rewrite yesterday, but with God's grace, you can still change the meaning of tomorrow. 🎧 The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns 🙏 Sometimes the questions we're afraid to ask are the very questions that deepen our faith. #TheCatholicJourney #DeaconPatKearns #QuestionsWeAreAfraidToAskGod #CatholicPodcast #CatholicFaith #GodsMercy #SecondChances #FindingPurpose #FaithAndLife #GrowingOlder #TrustingGod

    Finding God in the Ordinary

SAINT JOSEMARÍA ESCRIVÁ: FINDING GOD IN THE ORDINARY 🎙️ The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns Special Podcast Episode Have you ever wondered whether your ordinary, everyday life really matters to God? You get up, go to work, take care of your family, pay the bills, and do it all over again tomorrow. Sometimes it feels as though holiness is something reserved for priests, religious sisters, missionaries, or people doing extraordinary things. But what if the very life you're living right now is exactly where God is calling you to become a saint? In this special episode of The Catholic Journey, we explore the remarkable life of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, the Spanish priest who founded Opus Dei and dedicated his life to teaching that holiness can be found in the most ordinary moments. We'll discover how everyday work, marriage, family responsibilities, and even life's frustrations can become opportunities to grow closer to God. His message is simple, yet powerful: You don't have to escape your ordinary life to find God. You can find Him right in the middle of it. ❤️ Whether you're a nurse caring for patients, a parent raising children, a grandparent enjoying retirement, or someone simply trying to make it through another busy day, this episode is for you. Join me for this inspiring 7–8-minute reflection and discover how one saint's extraordinary message can transform the way you see your everyday life. You don't have to live an extraordinary life to become a saint. You simply have to learn to love God extraordinarily in the life you've been given. 🎧 The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns 🙏 Sometimes the greatest opportunities for holiness are found in the smallest moments of our lives. #TheCatholicJourney #DeaconPatKearns #SaintJosemariaEscriva #OpusDei #CatholicFaith #CatholicPodcast #EverydayHoliness #CalledToBeSaints #FindingGod #CatholicInspiration

Why Do Bad People Seem to Prosper

GOD, WHY DO BAD PEOPLE SEEM TO PROSPER? 🎙️ THE QUESTIONS WE ARE AFRAID TO ASK GOD Episode 6 | The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns Have you ever wondered why people who lie, cheat, manipulate, and hurt others sometimes seem to have everything, while honest, hardworking, faithful people struggle just to get by? Why does doing the right thing sometimes feel like it puts us at a disadvantage? And if God truly cares about justice, why does He allow dishonesty and wrongdoing to go unpunished? These are questions that have troubled believers for thousands of years. In this sixth episode of The Questions We Are Afraid to Ask God, we explore what Scripture teaches us about wealth, injustice, envy, and the difference between worldly success and a life that truly matters. We'll discover why financial success isn't necessarily a sign of God's approval, why comparing our lives to others can steal our peace, and why choosing to do what is right is never wasted in God's eyes. ❤️ The world measures success by what we accumulate. God measures our lives by who we become. Join me for this thought-provoking 7–8-minute reflection as we discover that a successful life isn't necessarily one filled with wealth, power, or recognition, but one filled with love, integrity, and faithfulness to God. 🎧 The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns 🙏 Sometimes the questions we're afraid to ask are the very questions that deepen our faith. #TheCatholicJourney #DeaconPatKearns #QuestionsWeAreAfraidToAskGod #CatholicPodcast #FaithAndLife #GodsJustice #TrueSuccess #CatholicFaith #ChristianLiving #TrustingGod

What If I Don't Believe What the Church Teaches

🙏 GOD, WHAT IF I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING THE CHURCH TEACHES? 🎙️ THE QUESTIONS WE ARE AFRAID TO ASK GOD Episode 5 | The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns Have you ever found yourself questioning something the Catholic Church teaches? Maybe you've struggled with a particular doctrine, disagreed with a Church teaching, or wondered whether having doubts makes you a bad Catholic. You're certainly not alone. But here's an important question: Are we genuinely searching for God's truth, or are we sometimes looking for a faith that agrees with what we already believe? In this fifth episode of The Questions We Are Afraid to Ask God, we explore the difference between questioning and rejecting Church teachings, why Jesus gave His Church the authority to teach, and how we can navigate doubts without abandoning our faith. We'll also discuss what happens when the Church itself has disappointed or hurt us, and why the failures of individuals should never overshadow the truth of Jesus Christ. ❤️ Faith doesn't mean we understand everything. It means we're willing to keep following Christ as He leads us toward the truth. Join me for this thought-provoking 7–8-minute reflection as we discover that sincere questions can lead us toward a deeper, more mature Catholic faith. 🎧 The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns 🙏 Sometimes the questions we're afraid to ask are the very questions that deepen our faith. #TheCatholicJourney #DeaconPatKearns #QuestionsWeAreAfraidToAskGod #CatholicPodcast #CatholicTeachings #CatholicFaith #FaithAndDoubt #Magisterium #FollowingChrist #GrowingInFaith

God, Why Did You Take Someone I Love

🙏 GOD, WHY DID YOU TAKE SOMEONE I LOVE? 🎙️ THE QUESTIONS WE ARE AFRAID TO ASK GOD Episode 4 | The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns There's an empty chair at the dinner table. A phone number you can't bring yourself to delete. A voice you wish you could hear just one more time. Losing someone we love is one of life's most painful experiences. And sometimes, in the middle of our grief, we find ourselves asking God a question we're almost afraid to say aloud: "God, why did You take someone I love?" In this deeply personal fourth episode of The Questions We Are Afraid to Ask God, we explore grief, anger, unanswered questions, and the hope our Catholic faith offers through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We'll discover why even Jesus wept at the death of His friend Lazarus, why grieving doesn't mean our faith is weak, and how love continues even after death. ❤️ Grief is not the absence of faith. It is the expression of a love that continues even after death. Join me for this heartfelt 7–8-minute reflection as we remember those we've lost and discover that although death changes our relationships, it cannot erase the love we shared. 🎧 The Catholic Journey with Deacon Pat Kearns 🙏 Sometimes the questions we're afraid to ask are the very questions that deepen our faith. #TheCatholicJourney #DeaconPatKearns #QuestionsWeAreAfraidToAskGod #CatholicPodcast #GriefAndLoss #CatholicFaith #HopeInChrist #Resurrection #RememberingLovedOnes #FaithAndHope
