    Afligido, pero no destruido | Cuando Dios obra en medio del dolor

    Alguna vez te has preguntado dónde está Dios mientras atraviesas una temporada de dolor, rechazo, pérdida o escasez? La aflicción puede golpearnos, debilitarnos y hacernos llorar, pero no tiene el poder de destruir el propósito de Dios para nuestra vida.     En la iglesia no todos sirven con las mismas motivaciones. Algunos caminan en la verdad, aman a los hermanos y trabajan fielmente para la gloria de Dios. Otros, sin embargo, desean ocupar el primer lugar, ejercer control y desacreditar a quienes consideran una amenaza. En la tercera carta de Juan encontramos el contraste entre dos hombres: Gayo, un siervo fiel que andaba en la verdad, y Diótrefes, un hombre que amaba tener el primer lugar en la iglesia. ¿Qué revelan sus acciones acerca de sus corazones? ¿Cómo podemos distinguir entre un verdadero siervo de Dios y alguien que utiliza el ministerio para satisfacer sus propias ambiciones?     The nighttime encounter

    Today we enter one of the most profound and life-changing conversations ever recorded in Scripture — the nighttime encounter between Nicodemus and Jesus in John chapter 3:1-17 Nicodemus was not an ordinary man. He was a Pharisee, a respected religious leader, a teacher of Israel, and a member of the Sanhedrin — the highest Jewish council of his day. He was a man filled with knowledge, discipline, and authority. Yet despite all his learning and status, something inside him still longed for truth. So under the cover of night, he came to Jesus.
