    WGR's Brian Koziol Talks Most Fun Sabres Season Of His Career (LIVE From Imperial)

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by longtime Buffalo Sabres pregame and postgame host Brian Koziol to discuss the Sabres, the most rewarding year of his WGR career and much more, recorded live at Imperial Pizza in South Buffalo. Brian's been at WGR since 2001 and has been doing the pregame and postgame shows since 2007-08. They talk about many of  those lean years and how negative the job could be when the team is perennially bad, specifically having to deal with often irate callers following games and seasons. However, things turned around seemingly overnight this past season and Brian not only got to host playoffs games, but into the second round for the first time in his career. They also spend plenty of time talking about the team, being happy with the season and ready to raise the bar for the future. How will they handle this offseason? Lots of options are on the table.     Eric Wood On Josh Allen, Bills Roster & Training Camp Changes

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by former Buffalo Bills great and current team radio analyst Eric Wood for a discussion mostly about the Bills that includes training camp routines with new coaches, pressure of being Josh Allen, arduous golf adventures and more. Eric was in Buffalo this week to take part in Josh Allen's 117 hole golf challenge to benefit the Patricia Allen Fund at Children's hospital. To be clear, the 117 holes is not a typo, it's the amount of holes played in one day and incredibly, without golf carts. It's amazing Eric even has the energy to talk after completing that---what was that event like for him and his fellow golfers? Also, Erin's achieved a level of celebrity as a former Bills star and someone still very much in the public eye. He discusses that and also tries to shed a tiny bit of insight about the unworldly celebrity of people like Allen and how difficult at times it must be for people like him.     Fascinating Buffalo Sports Offseason Debates Happening

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran goes over three Buffalo sports discussions/debates going on that he finds fascinating and can make a fair case for either side of the coin. Will Alex Tuch re-sign with the Sabres? That is a key, probably the key offseason storyline with the Sabres as Tuch's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. There's plenty of reason to very much want Tuch back but also financial reasons to move on from him. Where does Patrick fall on this? Sticking with the Sabres, Patrick put up a poll involving a trade scenario for St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas and was shocked at the results. Are fans overvaluing young prospects a little too much? Moving over to the Bills, Patrick's pretty fascinated with not knowing what the new Jim Leonhard defense is going to actually look like and which Bills veteran defenders will be the best fits for it.     How Improved Are The Buffalo Bills On Paper?

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss several topics, including taking a look at how much better, if at all the Buffalo Bills look on paper in 2026 compared to last year. Changes came big for the Bills after another playoff run that fell short of their goal of reaching a Super Bowl. Of course, the biggest change wasn't among the players but at head coach, as Sean McDermott got fired and Joe Brady promoted. Do the guys think that's an upgrade? It sure seems on paper the Bills improved with proven additions like DJ Moore, CJ Gardner Johnson and Bradley Chubb into the fold. They are, but there's other areas of the team where saying they improved isn't so cut and dry, such as offensive line and linebacker, not to mention a fair debate at cornerback.     What A Goalie Trade Market May Look Like For The Sabres

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by podcaster and blogger Chris Ostrander to discuss a handful of Buffalo Sabres season ending topics, including taking a look at what a potential goaltender trade market should look like should Jarmo Kekäläinen decide to try and swing a deal. Obviously this was a breakthrough season for the Sabres and the team looks poised to have a sustainable run at the Eastern conference in the coming years. However, the most uncertain aspect of the team arguably is goaltender despite having three guys all under contracts for next year: UPL, Alex Lyon and Colton Ellis in addition to Devon Levi in Rochester. Chris takes a look at a handful of goalies around the league at least worth discussing in some capacity for trades should their respective teams find a Buffalo package that would make it worth moving on from. They also discuss the Alex Tuch conundrum. Despite the woeful performance against Montreal Tuch's still a valued commodity and the Sabres will and should want him back. But at what price? Chris has thoughts on what he thinks Buffalo should do and where they should set the hard line at. The guys also discuss bonus bright spots that emerged from the Buffalo playoff run that were at least somewhat unexpected with Noah Ostlund and Konsta Helenius.  That plus what current Sabres could carry some value in the trade market and much more.     Let's Play Buffalo Bills Fact Or Fiction

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren from SB Nation and among the topics is a game of Buffalo Bills fact or fiction---where Patrick reads off a bunch of Bills related statements and Matt explains if he thinks what Patrick's saying is fact or fiction.     Good, Bad & Ugly Of The Sabres Playoff Run

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran goes over plenty of the good, bad and ugly from the Buffalo Sabres crushing game seven loss to Montreal, the series as a whole and entire Buffalo playoff run.
