We dig into how beauty has been poisoning people for centuries, then bring it into the present with looksmaxxing, bone smashing, and the new horror of AI dysmorphia — patients bringing AI-edited selfies to plastic surgeons and asking to look like a face that was never real. Then two films that put "beauty is terrifying" into practice: 🎬 AMERICAN MARY (2013) — A broke med student starts doing underground body-mod surgery to pay the bills, until an assault sends her somewhere much darker. Katharine Isabelle carries it, but the acting around her holds it back.
