Music can mean a lot to a person. A song, an album, an artist or a performance can strike up a wide range of emotion, sometimes with clear intentions, and other times in a uniquely personal way. Memory Tracks is a collection of conversations where a guest shares three songs that never fail to strike up particular feelings, often tied back to a memory forever associated with the music itself. The association could be a call back to a time of great loss, a moment of true love or a specific awakening initiated within. Be it a specific line, a chilling instrumentation or just the place where the track was first heard, guests explore what it is about each of these songs that call them back to these memories permanently nestled into their brain.

#53 Neil Gray
I learned about this Neil's musical taste through his son, Stuart, my episode 1 guest. When Neil found himself stranded in Austin over the last month, we had a chance to tape this episode where I got a much better understanding for some of the coolest 70s and 80s UK hits from Neil's youth. Bonus content at the end for more on great Scots and Neil's mobile disco.
So Long - Fischer-Z
Silver Machine - Hawkwind
Delilah -The Sensational Alex Harvey Band -

First episode in a longtime with a special guest, my friend Gaby DeLeon. Hear about SXSW discoveries and the omnipresence of Selena growing up in Texas.

Lisa has become such a great friend to me over the years after I first met her working with her husband Doug. She hired me as an intern at a tech company, we bonded, and the rest is history.

For the 50th episode, my friend Frank joins to chat about a few tunes from his life. Longtime Austin pal through SXSW adventures, Frank is the one who encouraged me to start recording episodes again after the long hiatus.

#49: Ali Holder
Another long break between episodes, but happy to be back here talking with Austin-based songwriter Ali Holder. We chat old country tunes, music that gets you through hard times, and hidden gems from an under-appreciated 90s movie about witches.
Faded Love - Willie Nelson ft. Ray Price
Wake Up - Arcade Fire
Crystal - Stevie Nicks -

My friend Josh brought me three songs paired with three whiskeys to drink along with. I'd recommend you follow his lead by listening along with some bourbon.

Bread & Water - Ryan Bingham

Great Concept.
We all have our favorite songs but what about those songs that come on and instantly transport you back to a time and place forever associate with that song.
Harrison interviews guests who share those songs and the stories behind them.
