Banks Arcade Interview: Talking 'Second Place Superstar' and More!

Banks Arcade, the modern alternative metal band, are back with their brand-new album, ‘Second Place Superstar’, on September 25th, 2026, via Arising Empire. The biggest and boldest Banks Arcade record yet? Without a doubt and the proof comes in twelve forms. Second Place Superstar is the sound a band at peak confidence, the sound of a band filled with vigour, the sound of a band locked in, and the sound of a band who know exactly what they want. It’s world domination, or nothing, and there’s simply no denying that the mass appeal of a record like this means the former is way more likely. Read the full review here: https://www.gravenoisemedia.com/album-review-banks-arcade-second-place-superstar-arising-empire/ We spoke to lead vocalist and founding member Joshua O'Donnell about the new album, the journey to its release, why he is so excited about it coming out, growing the band, and much more. Times Long Gone But Not Forgotten: An Interview with Christophe Voisin Boisvinet of Skáld

Skáld, the neofolk icons, invite listeners into times long gone but not forgotten. Their brand-new album, ‘Ørlǫg’, is out September 25th, 2026, via Napalm Records. It is a challenge, a welcome one, but a challenge nonetheless to break down what Skáld create here. On the one hand there is a simplicity to their Nord-inspired folk and atmospheric sound that speaks to the soul resulting in something quite accessible. On the other hand, the experience is so layered, the arrangements are so varied, and the expansive use of instruments make it a studious listen. Skáld are one of the finest to make music like this and do so in a way that doesn’t just capture the imagination of the few, but rather the many. Ørlǫg is special, but you’d struggle to find a release from this band that isn’t. Read the full album review here: https://www.gravenoisemedia.com/album-review-skald-orl%c7%abg-napalm-records/ We had the pleasure of speaking with Christophe Voisin Boisvinet (Percussion, Nordic Fiddles, Harp, Horn, Vocals, Programming) about Ørlǫg. What makes it special, how Skáld reached this point, and so much more. English is not Christophe's first language, so the interview was conducted in French (with a translator present). Christophe's voice has been dubbed in this interview. The Journey Onwards: Talking 'Sternensegler' with Schandmaul Vocalist Till Herence

Schandmaul, the iconic German folk rock band, are back with their brand-new album, ‘Sternensegler’, out now via Napalm Records. It is their first album with Till Herence on vocals with Thomas Lindner switching to instruments instead. A big change, but one masterfully handled. Schandmaul are looking forward, but in doing so, make sure that their extensive listener base comes along for the ride too. All with a set of new tracks that exemplify their creativity, ability to adapt, and desire to remain undeniably anthemic. Read the full review here: https://www.gravenoisemedia.com/album-review-schandmaul-sternensegler-napalm-records/ We spoke to vocalist Till about the new album, the journey the band has been on, dealing with fan expectations over the vocal changes, moving forward, and so much more!
