Episode 457: Who Gave You Permission?

What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn't your circumstances, your past, or the people who doubted you? What if it's what you've been choosing to focus on? You don't get out of life what you experience. You get out of life what you focus on. Two people can go through similar experiences and walk away with completely different perspectives. One sees proof that life is against them. The other sees an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger. But here's the uncomfortable question: What if you've become so focused on what went wrong that you're missing everything that's going right? In this episode of Road to Victory, we're talking about attention, identity, accountability, and the invisible limitations we place on ourselves. We explore what it means to stop performing the person you want people to believe you are and start becoming that person when nobody's watching. And then there's this thought: “Locks are such comforting little things. They make people with hunger need permission.” How many doors have you convinced yourself are locked without ever checking the handle? How many opportunities have you walked away from because nobody invited you? How often have you mistaken somebody else's approval for permission to pursue your own purpose? We're challenging ourselves to stop waiting for validation, stop negotiating with our potential, and start living in alignment with what we say we believe. Because the question isn't just whether you have the ability to become somebody greater. It's whether your daily behavior reflects the person you already know you can be. Road to Victory. Fantastic and Only Improving.

Episode 456: Be Where Your Feet Are

How much of your life are you missing because you’re too busy thinking about what happened yesterday or worrying about what might happen tomorrow? This episode is about three things that can change the direction of your life: presence, accountability, and strategic planning. First, learn to be where your feet are. You can’t change yesterday, and tomorrow isn’t promised. But what are you doing with the opportunity sitting right in front of you? Second, accountability. At what point do you stop blaming your circumstances, your upbringing, your relationships, or the people who disappointed you and start taking responsibility for what happens next? And finally, strategic planning. Everybody wants to win, but what’s your game plan? Are you making decisions based on emotions or building a life with intention? We get into the uncomfortable questions: ● Are you actually living or constantly preparing to live? ● Are you holding yourself to the same standards you expect from everybody else? ● What is your plan when things don’t go according to plan? ● Are your daily decisions bringing you closer to the person you want to become? You can’t execute tomorrow’s game plan if you’re not paying attention to today’s game. The goal isn’t to have your entire life figured out. It’s to become somebody who can recognize the moment, take responsibility, make the necessary adjustments, and keep moving forward. Stay present. Take accountability. Move strategically. Road to Victory. Fantastic and Only Improving.

Episode 455: An Organ & Limb featuring AL (All Love)

This episode is about the price of life. Not just money. Not just sacrifice. But what it means when your body, your health, your relationships, and your future force you to look at life differently. “A Organ and a Limb” is a conversation about survival, value, gratitude, fear, health, and what we’re willing to fight for when life stops feeling guaranteed. We talk about the things people take for granted until they’re threatened. Your body. Your time. Your family. Your freedom. Your ability to get up tomorrow and do something ordinary. And underneath all of it is a bigger question: What does something become worth once you realize you can lose it? This isn’t just a conversation about health. It’s about how adversity changes your definition of wealth. How difficult experiences expose what actually matters. How people show up—or don’t show up—when life gets serious. And how surviving something can either make you afraid to live or make you finally understand why life deserves your full participation. There are laughs in this one. There are uncomfortable truths. There are moments that probably shouldn’t be funny—but somehow are. And there’s a reminder that sometimes the greatest victory isn’t becoming rich, famous, successful, or impressive. Sometimes the victory is simply being able to say: “I’m still here.” If you’ve ever dealt with illness, loss, fear, family pressure, or a season that forced you to rethink what really matters, this conversation is for you.
