The Wholistic Solution
01/18/2022
I’ve listened to Shari Broder’s Weightloss for Foodies podcast for at least three years, as well as worked with her as a coach in a group format, in addition to her free Ditch The Diet Facebook group part of that time. Shari has the goods on losing weight and keeping it off in a wholistic, mind-body way. She teaches principles that are applicable to all of life: having an abundance mindset vs. a scarcity attitude about food. She has taught me how to listen to my bodily cues, and the big deal of catching and stopping emotional eating. I’ve worked with therapists over the scarcity and abundance issue with sugar. I know the origins in childhood. But, no one taught me the cognitive behavioral approach, which is the game changer. Plus, you don’t have to give up foods. You eat what you want, when you want, but you learn to do it mindfully. You learn how to sense your innate body wisdom of when it is slightly full and truly hungry and ready to eat. The Weightloss for Foodies method Shari teaches goes beyond intuitive eating, by giving you some metrics, *so to speak,* to judge when and how to feed your body the good stuff that will help you thrive (again, no rules, counting, fasting, yada, yada,) and also the once forbidden foods eaten in moderation. Believe me. For decades, I thought I was addicted to sugar, that I couldn’t have it around me without devouring in embarrassing excess. Weightloss for Foodies has given me food freedom. It is empowering. Subscribe to this podcast. It’s the real deal.

Great advice for food relationship
03/03/2021
Shari provides great advice for how to think about your relationship with food. Her first 20 or so podcasts lay out fundamental principles that will help one learn to enjoy food without guilt and without the unhealthy obsession with food that can lead to weight gain and digestive issues. It’s so generous of her to provide this content for free because it’s valuable advice.
A life-changing podcast (down 9 pounds in 5 weeks)
02/02/2021
This is the last weight loss “program” you’ll ever need. I use the term “program” loosely, because it’s all just common sense — absolutely no fads or gimmicks here. If you are like me, and sick of years and years of dieting but never keeping it off, this podcast will be life changing for you. I have been on Weight Watchers, counted calories, intermittent fasting, and I also tried “just listening to my body” for the past 2 years (trying to follow Corinne Crabtree’s program, but the 24-hour plan just didn’t work for me). Shari explains everything in ways that just make so much sense and she gives you concrete advice and tips on how to listen to your body. It feels almost effortless. When you’re hungry...you eat. And there are no forbidden foods. The weight will come off when you have the tools necessary to listen to your body, and all you have to do is in the podcast. Start at episode 1 and just keep going. You will not regret it.
