The Fall of Felix - S2 E10
After the Colombian drug bust in Sylmar, CA in 1989, Felix seems to be climbing to the top. He's made all the other leaders of the plazas his partners. However, this is the beginning of his end. Maria kicks Felix out for good after she discovers he had Palma's wife and kids killed.
The plazas oust Felix from the game, and he's arrested shortly after.
Breslin, on the other hand, is stuck in Sacramento handling paperwork. We get a very tense moment between Breslin and Felix where they end up talking. All Felix hints about is the Sinaloans and Felix family fighting. Felix is the one to end the conversation, but is this only the beginning for Breslin's visits to talk to Felix?

ABOUT NARCOS:
Narcos is a chronicled look at the criminal exploits of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. Netflix takes on the infamous Medellín drug cartel in "Narcos," which follows the rise and fall of Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar and the Drug Enforcement Agency agents hunting him. The story is told largely from the points of view of Escobar, played by Brazilian actor Wagner Moura, and U.S. DEA Agent Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), on opposite sides of what would become an all-out war. The gritty drama begins with the early days of the drug battle, when the biggest offenders were "hippies in flip-flops" caught with up to a kilo of marijuana, continuing to the violent, bloody battles

Wasted Effort
I hoped this be would be greart anaysis of a fantastic show, however sadly it is not. It seems thrown togeather, not well researched and if not very informative. It seems like they literally pulled in three interns from the street to discuss the show and none of them really care. The "filmaker' adds almost nothing, the token Latino member, who seems to be invited only to talk about the shows Latino themes, seems to be only borderline functional as an adult and add nothing about Latino culture except racist quips about how Hispanic DEA agents can "go aginst thier people". Like really? The main host seems like she's phoning it in with basic observations about the show which bores the audience to tears. I wish they would add like real people with real insight to talk about the nuances of this great show. Very disapointing.
Poorly researched and presented
Hosts lack general knowledge of the characters involved. When analyzing a television program I expected the hosts to have researched and been more informed about the history of some of the characters. One particular host mispronounces names constantly. To not know the correct way to say the Medellín Cartel and to pronounce El Chapo’s (Joaquín Guzmán) name with a hard “J” was absolutely ridiculous! I’m not a fluent Spanish speaker by any means, but I believe the show is based in Los Angeles. For a person living in L.A. to be that clueless baffles me!
Some of afterbuzz’s other shows really provide some insight. This seemed thrown together and all over the place. I know people binge-watch the show and maybe they put out the podcasts quickly to satisfy the demand, but they can take some time to really provide some more analysis and reflect on themes.
