    7 Steps to a Killer Sales Presentation

    A great sales presentation shouldn’t be improvised. It should be purposeful, documented, scripted, and repeatable. In this episode of The Fab Lab Podcast, Aaron breaks down seven steps to building a sales presentation that differentiates your company and demonstrates why you're the better choice. The Seven Steps Tailor it to your target customer – Start with a qualified prospect and demonstrate that you understand their needs better than the competition. Control the environment – Present in the customer’s home or your showroom where distractions are minimized and impact is maximized. Cover process AND product – Show customers both how you do the work and what makes the finished product better. Focus on 4–8 key points – Don't overwhelm them. Choose the strongest points that truly differentiate your company. Build a question into every point – Use questions to engage the customer rather than simply lecturing them. Use open-ended questions – Get customers thinking about problems and risks they may never have considered. Compare yourself to the industry average – You don't need to attack competitors.     How to Say No to a Job… and the One Exception

    Most fabricators think every lead deserves a quote. I don't. In this episode, I share why learning to say "no" to the wrong jobs can reduce stress, improve close rates, and create a healthier business. In this episode: The story from a Cosentino event in San Francisco that changed the way I think about qualifying customers. Why it's okay to walk away from prospects who aren't a good fit.
