GG Stalin and the Absurdity Junkies

Give it a listen and hear Ed laugh like Amadeus. These guys and their guests are so much fun. They manage to blend irreverent joking and ranting with serious joking and ranting as they dive into popular culture, obscure culture, politics, MMA, and sometimes religion. They're rough around the edges in a way that's a nice break from the super polished and slick podcasts out there. What you get are authentic voices who aren't self consciously trying to please a fan base or sponsorship. My political, social, and religious views are quite different in a lot of ways, but if anything that makes them more fun to listen to (most of the time). They're always teaching me something I didn't know before as they meander through topics. Easy 5 stars

Not a misleading title - for better or worse, whatever you would expect of something called GG Stalin and the Absurdity Junkies, that is basically what this is. Careens wildly from absurd to clever to goofus to sleaze while providing (sometimes sober, insightful) analysis on media, sports, politics, and The General World at Large. The hosts are heavy on the self-deprecation and don't take themselves too seriously. Apparently if you like this, you'll also like Oprah's Master Class.
