WEEK AHEAD FORECAST: OCTOBER 4–10, 2026 Before We Dive In On October 1st at 10am Mountain, the first call of Venus Retrograde: Heroine’s Journey happened and it was ‘off the charts’. I’m all like. [Excited doesn’t quite cover it.] We have well over 70 people in the class. It’s pretty astounding, and it’s just my favourite thing to do. By the time you read this, Venus is Retrograde and the call recording is up. There’s still time to catch up with call one if you have FOMO regretTwo levels: The Journey — $397 for the whole seven weeks. Eight calls, all recordings, PDFs of the slides, lightly edited transcripts, and lots of other materials in the course portal, plus a community area and chat section. The recordings upload automatically into the portal very soon after each call ends, so it can all be done from the recordings if you can’t attend live. Dragon Rider adds a year of Spiral Codex, a 30-minute one-on-one with me, and a personal gift. louiseedington.com/VenusRetrograde2026 Female Rage: The Musical The image I chose for this week is Taylor Swift from the final leg of the Eras Tour, after The Tortured Poets Department came out: the Female Rage: The Musical image. I’ll be using Taylor as a small example in the class. I actually became a Swiftie thanks to Venus retrograde. During the summer of the Eras Tour, Venus was retrograde in Leo and I used her as an example then, along with Beyoncé and her Renaissance tour. That’s when I discovered Taylor Swift and I share a 21° Sagittarius Sun. I chose that image because Venus retrograde in Scorpio feels very female rage, the musical. Venus is very much to do with music. And we’re already seeing it. Take the outrage over the Cornell case. These are alleged rapes (I have to say that at the moment) that happened two years ago. Jane Doe, the woman at the centre of it all, has now filed charges. And of course online we’re seeing the usual: men asking what about women who hurt women, why didn’t she come forward two years ago, why didn’t she do this, blah, blah, blah. The whole thing was dealt with by Cornell itself and swept under the rug. So if anything ever happens to you or one of yours on a college campus, do not go and report it to the college. Go straight to the police. That’s not to say it’s her fault for not doing that. You’d expect the college to support you. But oh no. We’re seeing that rage start to erupt over how this woman has been treated, and over the other stories coming out right now. When Scorpio is involved, it’s often power games and sexual dynamics. The last time the Me Too movement really took off was when Jupiter was in Scorpio, because Scorpio is very much related to the sexual organs, the reproductive system, and power dynamics. And remember, this is the last Venus Star Point in Scorpio in our lifetimes, the cazimi where the Sun and Venus meet in the middle of the retrograde. It’s at 0°, the alpha omega degree. So I think we’re going to see much more eruption. Some people describe Venus in Scorpio as Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. I don’t think it’s that bad, really. We’re not all going to go and boil rabbits. But it does carry that you treated me badly and I’m going to get revenge energy. The real way to work with Venus retrograde in Scorpio, or any Venus retrograde, is to go within and do the work inside, so that you’re more empowered from the root upwards and better able to take on the world. Also I’m preparing my presentation for the London School of Astrology’s Chiron Weekend (October 17–18). I’m so honoured to be in with amazing speakers, and they run the whole weekend for charity. Come join us. Regular price: £99 (includes unlimited access to all live + recorded videos). 17-18 October 2026. Mercury catches up and meets her at 8° on Tuesday. * Mars opposed Pluto on Saturday the 3rd, forming a fixed T-square with Haumea and Mercury, all around 3°. Lots of threes. * The Pluto–Haumea square (the 10th of 13 this decade) is still close. * Hekate stations direct at 23° Aquarius on Tuesday October 6th. * Hygieia, goddess of preventative health, passes the South Node, enters Virgo, and meets Regulus. * The Moon meets Jupiter at 20° Leo, the August 12th eclipse degree. A hot degree to keep watching. * Asteroid Lilith enters Leo. * The Libra New Moon is on Saturday October 10th at 17° Libra, squaring Ceres. * Venus squares Mars at 7° the same day. * Pluto is still out of bounds to the south. [Everything is feeling a bit beyond the norm.] We’re in the waning, then balsamic, Moon all week, heading into the dark of the Moon. These may feel like quite dark times at first. But it’s all part of the journey inward. The Cards — A First Glance From the Red Seeds Tarot (Linda Hill, Etsy UK) and the Witch Oracle by Angie Sullins: Two of Vessels reversed, Ten of Vessels, The Star, and The Hive Queen. Vessels are cups, and Scorpio is a water sign, so it figures. To be quite honest, these are pretty good, nice cards. We’ve had the Hive Queen before. The Melissae were part of the Eleusinian Mysteries, one of the mythic arcs I tell through the class. They were the hive priestesses, if you like. More on all four at the end. Day by Day (Times are Eastern unless noted.) Sunday, October 4 — Sun Opposes Saturn. The Great Mother Moon. We start the week with the Nodes still at 29°, the anaretic degree, a liminal border crossing between the two signs. The South Node has been sitting on a certain leader’s Ascendant since the eclipses. Chiron has moved back into Aries before its final ingress into Taurus. The Moon is in Cancer and pretty much conjunct Ceres, the Great Mother. (Hence the Roerich painting, The Great Mother. More on that later in the week.) The Moon is out of bounds to the north, and Pluto is still out of bounds to the south. Pluto carries more of the collective out-of-bounds energy, but it feels like everything is out of bounds right now. There’s some erratic energy about. The Cancer Moon’s first main aspect is a water trine, an unbroken flow, to Nessus, revealing the toxins and poisons we’re all releasing and letting go of. Then the Moon squares Vesta, our inner flame. Remember that everything in Aries is retrograde. We’re revisiting a lot about who we are in this new and changing paradigm, and the answer is always to slow down and look within. The first big aspect of the day: the Libra Sun reaches 11° and opposes retrograde Saturn. This is a good, hard look at our self-limiting beliefs, whether that’s belief in ourselves or in our ability to act from a dynamic, driven attitude rather than a power-over one. That means not stomping on other people, and not letting people stomp on us either. The Sun in Libra wants balance, and the opposition to retrograde Saturn asks what lessons we’ve actually learned about those beliefs. The Cancer Moon then squares Eris, the table flipper. We’re still flipping tables. The Cornell story is not going away, believe me. (Allegedly.) Then the Moon opposes Juno, who has been looking at our contracts with each other, our institutions, and the structures we live under, and saying no, this is not working. Then the Moon conjuncts asteroid Lilith, my talk-to-the-hand rebellious teenager (she looks like a hand, hence the name), and the rage builds. Black Moon Lilith is that wild, energetic rage. Asteroid Lilith says I was made equal, and I’m taking my rightful place. All of this is happening within and without. The Moon squares Chiron, revisiting the wounded, toxic masculine energy of power-over and domination, and asking again: what have we learned, and what is the medicine for each of us? Late in the evening, the Moon enters Leo (back in bounds now) and at 2° Leo trines Neptune in Aries. In a real you cannot make this up moment, Neptune is only 5 minutes of arc from the Aries Venus Star Point. So the Moon looks back at that and asks: what do we still need to burn off before we dive deep into this retrograde? The Moon in Leo also feels the pull of Mars, who is still reeling from Saturday’s opposition to Pluto. Mars and Pluto are the traditional and modern rulers of Scorpio, and that opposition formed a fixed T-square to Haumea and Mercury. The question is: what action are we going to take to change this? If you have planets or points around 3° in your chart, pay attention to when threes show up. Monday, October 5 — The Threes Light Up. Hygieia Meets the South Node. Early on Monday, the Leo Moon reaches 3°. It opposes Pluto, squares Haumea (regeneration, rebirth), and then meets Mars. Those threes are being activated, pushing and forcing change. We have to really take action to shift this stuck system so it operates more in alignment with the needs of the whole of humanity and we can move forward into the future. The Moon then makes a supportive sextile to Uranus: we need radical change. It squares Mercury and sextiles Sedna too. All these early degrees, up to about 6°, are being activated. It’s a big push for change. Things are getting very deep and very emotional. The opposition to Pluto is about facing the shadow and bringing things out of it. If you have planets around 3°, 4°, or 5°, a whole lot is going on within you. The Moon then squares Venus, still at her station degree of 8° Scorpio, where she sits for a few days. We’re looking at our values and our relationships, but also our creative energy and social mores. I think you’ll hear many more people talking about their own experiences of sexual assault, so look for the trigger warnings. You’re going to hear a lot of it. It’s also revealing a lot of deep, dark
