    This week on The Fall Podcast, I sit down with my good buddy Lee Herr out of Iowa, a guy who’s built a reputation for doing one of the hardest things in the whitetail world, picking one specific buck and dedicating entire seasons to chasing that deer until the job gets done. No bouncing between shooters. No settling. Just patience, discipline, and an obsession with figuring out one mature whitetail. What makes this story even crazier is that Lee started hunting this buck with almost zero information. The only proof this deer even existed was a single shed antler he found the year before. No trail camera history. No daylight photos. No years of scouting intel. Just one giant shed and the belief that a world class buck was living somewhere nearby. This season, all of that work paid off in a massive way when Lee wrapped his tag around an absolutely stud 254-inch non-typical giant that ranks number 6 in the state of Iowa all time with his bow on a small piece of property. But what makes this story even better is the man behind it. Lee is as humble and down to earth as they come, and this conversation dives way deeper than just antler score.
