    Preparing for Exercise Over 50

    Welcome everybody to the Wisdom Movement Podcast. I'm your host...Bryan wisdom brought to you by WHIP radio. Today, we've got a simple question... If you're over 50, what should you do before you exercise? Maybe you play pickleball, tennis, go for walks/hikes, or maybe you're going to the gym. Whatever the activities you're doing, what should you dobefore you do that exercise or activity? What kind of preparation should you do for the body?  So very importantquestion, and I see this with our clients time and time again, especially inthat 50 plus population where people don't really know what they should do toget their body ready for the activity at hand, or maybe they just jump in.   Think of yourself as a professional athlete, if you want to be healthy and active into your 80s, 90s and beyond, there definitely needs to be that purposeful movement preparation before you you train. We do this with all of our clients in studio. We look at posture, we look at gait, walking, gait. We look at shoulder tracking, we look at squat and lunge. And then we customize movement preparation corrective exercises. We call them wisdom movements. We customize them for clients. So they're doing these exercises daily, and they're doing before they do their activities, or what kind of fun stuff they do exercises outside of the studio.
