Teenage Scream is everything a horror obsessed, 90’s loving, Point Horror fan could hope for! The two hosts, Heather and Kirsty, are effortlessly amusing to listen to and their genuine love for the oft maligned and overlooked genre of literature is apparent in every episode. True to their tag line, they lovingly dissect 90’s teen horror novels with the fond affection and frank criticism that the sometimes ridiculous but almost always entertaining novels deserve. They tackle genre faves Robot Stein (RL Stein), CBC (Caroline B Cooney), and Deathkins (DE Athkins), in addition to my personal faves, LJ Smith and Ritchie Tankersley Cusick and don’t hold back. There is not one bad episode of the podcast in the lot, even with the accommodations they had to make with COVID restrictions.
