This new, politically-charged take on The Most Dangerous Game finds twelve strangers kidnapped and hunted for sport by a mysterious group. This new film version of the famous novel (the eighth to date) stars Dev Patel in the lead role, ably supported by Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Ben Whishaw and Peter Capaldi, and directed by comedy legend Armando Iannucci. But does it approach the classic story in a bold new way? Speaking of familiar material, Sylvester Stallone returns in the creatively-titled Rambo: Last Blood. This fifth, supposedly final entry in the series sees John Rambo pulled back into action one last time when a Mexican cartel kidnaps a young friend. Also trapped in the titular game this time around are Dannys Glover and DeVito, in an effort to mix up the formula of the previous film. Newly available to own/rent is Blinded By The Light, a coming-of-age story of a young man from a Pakistani family with a new-found passion for the music of Bruce Springsteen. While not a commercial success on the level of Rocketman or Yesterday, the film weaves the songs into the story in some interesting ways.
