    Counterparts - JFK - May 9th 2023

www.counterpartsshow.comJohn Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), often referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. He was the youngest person to assume the presidency by election and the youngest president at the end of his tenure. Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War, and the majority of his foreign policy concerned relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. A Democrat, Kennedy represented Massachusetts in both houses of the U.S. Congress prior to his presidency. Born into the prominent Kennedy family in Brookline, Massachusetts, Kennedy graduated from Harvard University in 1940 before joining the U.S. Naval Reserve the following year. During World War II, he commanded a series of PT boats in the Pacific theater. Kennedy's survival following the sinking of PT-109 and his rescue of his fellow sailors made him a war hero and earned the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, but left him with serious injuries. After a brief stint in journalism, Kennedy represented a working-class Boston district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953. He was subsequently elected to the U.S. Senate and served as the junior senator for Massachusetts from 1953 to 1960. While in the Senate, Kennedy published his book, Profiles in Courage, which won a Pulitzer Prize. Kennedy ran in the 1960 presidential election. His campaign gained momentum after the first televised presidential debates in American history, and he was elected president, narrowly defeating Republican opponent Richard Nixon, who was the incumbent vice president. He was the first Catholic elected president.

    Counterparts - The Pyramids - April 25th 2023

www.counterpartsshow.com The PYRAMIDS!! Last week we covered UFOs and resolved the mysteries with our single show! You're welcome! This week we will solve the mysteries of the Pyramids of Giza and maybe a few others from around the world. Join us to get real answers! The Giza Pyramid complex (also called the Giza necropolis) in Egypt is home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also includes several temples and cemeteries and the remains of a workers' village. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southwest of the city centre of Cairo. It forms the northernmost part of the 16,000-hectare (40,000-acre) Pyramid Fields of the Memphis and its Necropolis UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1979.[1] The pyramid fields include the Abu Sir, Saqarra and Dahshur pyramid complexes, that were all built in the vicinity of Egypt's ancient capital of Memphis. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of Ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the Ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.

    Counterparts - Giselle Achecar - April 11th 2023

https://www.giselleachecar.com/ I’ve had a unique life. Though I’ve written tens of thousands of pages of stories (whether for myself or others), I’m not sure how I conjured the story I’ve actually lived. I’m an attorney, marketing executive, brand coach, chef, mom, environmental advocate, Zumba aficionado and Latina. All of those pieces of me and the experiences I’ve lived as a result make me who I am - an evolving creative creature on this glorious planet. That picture of me embodies my essence. A dear friend snapped that photo during the product shoot for Gigi’s Organics, my organic Latin seasonings brand. I was euphoric, having achieved a creative milestone I’d dreamed about ten years prior. I couldn’t have launched Gigi’s Organics without having the skills gained from the successes and “failures” (opportunities for growth) along the way. I love stories and they’re everywhere - in recipes, books, screenplays, legal briefs, social media posts, and videos. Stories tell the world who we are, how we think, and what we value. Throw in a flawed hero(ine), a compelling journey, and a redemption arc, and I’m hooked. Because I feel human when immersed in that experience. Stories make me feel a part of something bigger than myself. That’s why brand storytelling is the secret sauce for business growth. People resonate with stories that make them feel like they’re members of a community. They support businesses that support them. I’ve had a diverse background across industries as varied as technology, healthcare, cybersecurity, media and entertainment, food, fashion, and law, leading marketing teams at startups and Fortune 100 companies. I’ve launched businesses in media, food, and biotech and even had three screenplays optioned by major Hollywood studios. I now use that knowledge to empower entrepreneurs to build and scale their brands by giving them the confidence and skills to create messaging that positions them to manifest their vision. That’s the impact I give people - helping them achieve their dreams. www.counterpartsshow.com
