You get inside the minds of the folks on the other side of the bar, hearing their stories, personal narratives, cocktail techniques and industry anxieties. Leigh Ann’s curiosity and affection for all things bars, booze and cocktails is earnest and infectious.

If cocktail culture’s in your blood, this podcast is a serious must-subscribe. For starters, the two hosts are cocktail experts in their own right. No, Leigh Ann Simms and Blair Beavers don’t officially clock time behind the stick; but they know their stuff as any true enthusiast should. They especially know who’s who as far as local cocktail trailblazers go. Which is why their first guest, Cris Dehlavi of Cameron Mitchell’s M, is a no-brainer. The whole exchange is fun, intimate and full of insight for cocktail fans and newbies alike. Best part? It makes me downright thirsty for the French 75 Dehlavi’s mixing up. Most of all, the entire series is going to be a boon to Columbus. Simms and Beavers are definitely doing their part to elevate the craft, the bartender and a C-bus cocktail scene that can go head to head with counterparts in larger cities. And that deserves a *clink*.
