    No Turning Back

    BURN THE SHIPS PT. 5 |  OCTOBER 18, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Philippians 3:7-14 (NIV) Whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.  Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. √  WE GIVE TOO MUCH WEIGHT TO WHAT’S BEHIND US. Philippians 3:4-6 (NIV) If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;  as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless. 7 Whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. √  WE LET THE PAST SHAPE HOW WE SEE THE FUTURE. Joshua 1:1-2 (NLT) After the death of Moses the Lords’s servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua. He said,  “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.” NO TURNING BACK I. CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE. Philippians 3:7 (NIV) Whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ… Matthew 13:44 (ESV) The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. II. REDISCOVER YOUR PASSION. Philippians 3:10 (NIV) I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection... The key to leaving something behind is finding something greater to live for. III. MAKE JESUS YOUR GREATEST PURSUIT. Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV) But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 12:1–2 (NIV) Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus...

    Burn the Ships of Shame

    BURN THE SHIPS PT. 4 |  OCTOBER 11, 2026Pastor Bria Bradshaw Burn the Ships of Shame Genesis 2:18 (ESV) Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:24-25 (ESV) Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Genesis 3:7-11a (ESV) Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.  But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Shame is the deeply held belief that you are fundamentally defective, unworthy, inadequate, or unlovable.  Guilt says, “I did something wrong.” Shame says, “There is something wrong with who I am.” Guilt talks to you about your actions. Shame talks to you about YOU. Question: What do you believe about you? ✓ Childhood Shame ✓ Social Shame ✓ Collective Shame We want to get rid of the feeling shame brings, but God wants to heal the “you” that shame has formed. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 1. Connection to Self - What’s really happening within me? 2. Connection to Your Creator - What does God say about me? 3. Connection to Safe People - Who can I trust to see the real me? Only the One who Created you has the right to tell you who you are.

    Letting GO of Bitterness

    BURN THE SHIPS PT. 3 |  OCTOBER 4, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Hebrews 12:14-15 (NIV) Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.  See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. √  BITTERNESS KEEPS YOU CONNECTED TO WHAT HURT YOU. Genesis 41:51 (NLT) Joseph named his older son Manasseh, for he said, “God has made me forget all my troubles and everyone in my father’s family.” √  BITTERNESS GIVES SOMEONE ELSE CONTROL OF YOUR PEACE. Genesis 45:4–5 (NLT) I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. Bitterness says, “Look what you did to me.” Faith says, “Look what God is doing in me.” √  BITTERNESS KEEPS YOU WAITING FOR SOMETHING THAT MAY NEVER COME. Genesis 50:19-20 (NLT) But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good." LETTING GO OF BITTERNESS I. GIVE THE HURT TO GOD. Psalm 55:22 (NIV) Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. II. LET GO OF YOUR RIGHT TO GET EVEN. Romans 12:19 (NLT) Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. III. CHOOSE GRACE. Colossians 3:12-13 (NLT) Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

    Letting Go of What I've Learned to Rely On

    BURN THE SHIPS PT. 2 |  SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 Pastor Bria Bradshaw Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? The new thing God is doing isn’t just for you, it’s in you. Burning the ships isn't only about what I’m refusing to go back to. It’s also about what’s not meant to go forward with me.  ✓  Need Exodus 15:22-24 (NIV) Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.) 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” Question - When a need is going unmet, what do you often rely on? Exodus 15:27-16:3 NIV - 27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.  The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin…2 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. 3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” ✓  Fear Question - When you can’t see where provision is coming from, what do you rely on? Exodus 32:1 NIV - When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.” ✓  Waiting Question - When the waiting becomes difficult, what do you do? LETTING GO OF WHAT I'VE LEARNED TO RELY ON I. LORD, WHAT AM I CARRYING THAT CAN'T GO WITH ME ANYMORE? II. LORD, WHAT HAVE I BEEN ASKING THIS THING TO GIVE ME THAT YOU DESIRE TO GIVE ME YOURSELF?

    Look Again

    BURN THE SHIPS PT. 1 |  SEPTEMBER 13, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Isaiah 43:16-19 (NIV) This is what the Lord says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” You can physically be in a new season while emotionally and spiritually still living in an old one. √  We allow the past to become part of our identity. √  We try to get closure from places that can’t give it. √  We make the old season better in our mind than it really was. Exodus 14:10-12 (NLT) As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord, and they said to Moses, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt? Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, ‘Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!’” Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? Perception doesn’t change what happened. It changes how you move forward. LOOK AGAIN I. CHANGE WHAT YOU’RE FOCUSING ON. Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past… Philippians 4:8 (NLT) And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. What you focus on will shape what you believe about the season you’re in. II. START LOOKING FOR WHAT GOD IS DOING NOW.  Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) See, I am doing a new thing!  II Kings 6:15–17 (NLT) When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.  “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. III. ASK GOD TO HELP YOU SEE DIFFERENTLY.  Ephesians 1:18 (MSG) I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do.

    Finish Well

    ALL IN Pt. 3 |  SEPTEMBER 6, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. √  WE DRIFT. Hebrews 2:1 (NLT) So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. √  WE TRY TO DO IT ALONE.  Hebrews 10:24–25 (NLT) Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together… √  WE GET DISTRACTED. Luke 10:40-42 (NLT) But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, ‘Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.’  But the Lord said to her, ‘My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.’” FINISH WELL I. GUARD WHAT MATTERS. Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. II. LET GO OF WHAT’S SLOWING YOU DOWN. Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up… III. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS. II Timothy 4:6-8 (NLT) As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.  And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

    TAKE THE STEP

    ALL IN Pt. 2 |  AUGUST 30, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Matthew 14:22-32 (NLT) Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!” But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed. 1. JESUS SENT THEM ACROSS THE LAKE KNOWING A STORM WAS COMING. Being in a difficult season doesn’t mean I’m in the wrong place. 2. THE STORM WAS STILL HAPPENING WHEN PETER LEFT THE BOAT. Don’t wait for perfect conditions to obey God. 3. OUT OF THE TWELVE DISCIPLES, ONLY PETER STEPPED OUT. Faith is personal. I have to know what Jesus is asking of me. 4. PETER ASKED FOR A WORD BEFORE HE TOOK A STEP. Matthew 14:28 (NLT) Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” God’s calling gives me the confidence to keep going. TAKE THE STEP I. TRUST JESUS MORE THAN YOUR FEAR. Matthew 14:30–31 (NLT)But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. ‘Save me, Lord!’ he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.” Psalm 56:3 (NLT) When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. II. DO WHAT GOD IS ASKING YOU TO DO. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

    What's In Your Hand?

    ALL IN Pt. 1 |  AUGUST 23, 2026Pastor Wes Morris Exodus 3:10–12 (NLT) “Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.”  But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.” 4:1 But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?” Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. “Throw it down on the ground,” the Lord told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. Then the Lord told him, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So Moses reached out and grabbed it, and it turned back into a shepherd’s staff in his hand. “Perform this sign,” the Lord told him. “Then they will believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—really has appeared to you.” √  WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN ME WAS NEVER JUST FOR ME. I Peter 4:10 (NLT) God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. √  WHAT’S IN MY HAND DOESN’T BECOME USEFUL UNTIL I RELEASE IT. John 6:8–9 (NLT) Here is a young boy with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd? God can do more with what I release than I can ever do with what I keep. √  WHAT SEEMS ORDINARY TO ME CAN BECOME EXTRAORDINARY WITH GOD. II Corinthians 4:7 (NLT) We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. WHAT’S IN YOUR HAND? I. STOP DISQUALIFYING YOURSELF. Exodus 4:10-12 (NLT) But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” II Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” II. START WITH WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN YOU. Exodus 4:2 (NLT) “What is that in your hand?” Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin... III. JUST SAY YES. Romans 6:13 Give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. You want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for his good purposes.
