    37: Praying for Your Spouse, Feminine Products + Male Bonding

    Have you ever wanted to get inside the mind of a man? There have been analogies of how men come from Mars and women from Venus. Or that men's minds are like waffles, and women’s like spaghetti. Whatever you think, I’ve done a little digging so you don’t have to continue to wonder why men think the way that they do. In a series of three episodes, I’ve gathered male friends of mine, married and single, to answer questions that women want to know about men, and let me tell you, it gets deep! In this episode, I chop it up with Emmy and Zander about why men don’t go as deep in their relationships like women, if praying for your future spouse is even beneficial or something either of them did, and we even touch a little on some men’s choice of feminine products for their woman.     34: Rest, Rhythms, and Relaxation In God’s Plan (feat. Timi Komonibo)

    As we're going into the new year, thinking about how to best tackle our goals, lives, and things we want to accomplish, rest can oftentimes be put on the back burner. I want to encourage you to make rest a priority as we go into 2022. In this final episode of season four, I talk to creative, entrepreneur, and productivity queen Timi Komonibo about the art of staying and the art of rest. For a whole calendar year, God told Timi to go on a sabbatical with no titles, no roles, and stepping away from being somebody's boss. The goal: just to be with God. We also dig into provision in the midst of an unfamiliar place, identity shifts and understanding who God has called you to be, recognizing cycles and rhythms of rest, and how rest is more than sleeping and self-care.

    33: Using Social Media to Share Your Identity In Christ

    Did you know that before 2016, there was no definition for the term “influencer” on Dictionary.com?! Crazy to think, right? We use that term so much nowadays that it's easily a part of our vocabulary. Currently, it’s so popular to be an influencer or categorize someone as such, whether on social media, in thought, activism, words or more. What if I told you that being an influencer is actually biblical? What if being an influencer is not just a cultural norm, but the way God wants us to be and live our lives, as that of an influencer. In this episode, I break down how we can be influencers for Christ in our everyday social media lives...that your real life and social persona don’t have to be separate, or even forced. I also touch on social media as a vehicle through which ministry happens, our personal spheres of influence, being an example and how our actions teach people how to treat us, and developing your message.

    And we're rounding out our mid-season series centered on couples in their first year of marriage for this week's episode. And the Dickens are up! Marli and Aaron met at the gym, and have been lifting the weight of a relationship together, in all the right ways, to achieve maximum gains. For them, preparation and order is key to all that they do, and how they work together as a team. In other words, they put in that work. Dive into our conversation about: creating systems in marriage, the art of communication in a relationship, surrendering your non-negotiables list, and why people considered them to be "old-fashioned" in their dating and engagement process.

    31: College Credits, Quarantine, and Coupled Up (feat. Olivia + Marcus McCollum) [Year 1 In Marriage Series]

    If you’re joining the podcast today, this is your reminder that we’re in the middle of a  mid-season series centered all around couples in their first year of marriage. As we all know, being in the era of COVID, we saw nothing short of people getting into relationships out of the blue, and an overwhelming amount of marriages, as a result. On today’s episode, we have Mr. and Mrs. Next Level themselves, Olivia and Marcus McCollum. One thing about the McCollums, they’re about their business and inviting God into all that they do. From road trips, to collecting pins, and some very viral moments in their relationship, they’re just your regular recent college grads. Yes, you heard that correctly…Olivia and Marcus decided to tie the knot in the middle of their senior year of college, but they regret nothing. Get into our conversation about the culture shock of being married young, what submission really is like, and the call to marriage. Also, just as an update, at the time of this episode being posted, the McCollums are currently six days away from their first wedding anniversary.

The first couple that I have the privilege of sharing their “Marriage In Year 1” story is Danari and Jeremy Hairston. These two college sweethearts open up about their sweet transition from dating to marriage, some of the most crucial lessons they’ve learned thus far, and navigating a new level of intimacy.
