Ep. 187 From Minding 100 Dogs at 10 to Pet Insurance CEO | Alex Bedwani

Guest: Alex Bedwani, Founder and CEO of PetsOnMe, EO Sydney Member since 2025 Host: Linh Podetti, EO Sydney member since 2022, CEO of Outsourcing Angel. Alex Bedwani started his first business at 10 years old, minding dogs because his parents wouldn't let him have one of his own. Within a year he'd looked after more than 100 dogs and was subcontracting the work to his friends. That side hustle grew into a pet care marketplace, until COVID wiped out 90% of it almost overnight. In this episode of the EO Business Podcast, Alex and Linh Podetti talk about how being sacked as an interim startup CEO led him to launch PetsOnMe, a pet insurance challenger, with no insurance experience. They cover why he refuses to compete on ad spend with the big brands, the employee-benefits channel no one else was using, and why his team is encouraged to tell customers "we're probably not the best option for you." Alex also shares the hotel lesson from his dad that shaped how he leads, why he sees rejection as redirection, how he learned to let go and trust his team, and why he believes comfort is more dangerous than failure. ABOUT ALEX Alex Bedwani is the Founder and CEO of PetsOnMe, a pet insurance challenger built to give pet owners a real alternative in a market where one company sat behind 90% of the brands. Before PetsOnMe, Alex built and ran a dog walking and pet sitting marketplace that began when he was just 10 years old. His customers kept asking which pet insurance they could trust, and when he couldn't find one he'd recommend, he built his own. A member of Entrepreneurs' Organization, Alex defines success as freedom, and he's passionate about creating opportunities for others and backing people when everyone else tells them no. Four Offices, One Founder: The Scaling Mistake | Joe Maurici

Guest: Joe Maurici, Founder and Director of Vitas Advisory, EO Adelaide Member since 2023 Host: Linh Podetti, EO Sydney member since 2022, CEO of Outsourcing Angel. Joe Maurici started his accounting firm at 27 with one big sign on a road that 30,000 cars passed every day. For years he ran it the way his barber father ran his shop: do everything yourself and keep every dollar of profit. It worked, but it came at a huge personal cost. In this episode of the EO Business Podcast, Joe and Linh Podetti talk about the wake-up call that changed how he leads. They cover finding the right mentor (and then a second one), applying "Who Not How" to make two key hires, and building a business that doesn't depend on him. Joe also shares how a plan to make his millions and move to Thailand led him to his wife, how losing his mum led him back to faith, and why stepping up as an EO forum moderator taught him to "fight to listen". ABOUT JOE Giuseppe "Joe" Maurici is an Adelaide-based entrepreneur, Chartered Accountant, and Founder and Director of Vitas Advisory. He built his practice from the ground up and is now evolving it from a traditional compliance firm into an advisory-led business, with a vision of "Businesses full of life." Over his career, he has advised hundreds of business owners, invested in business and property, and built a team in Australia and overseas. A member of Entrepreneurs' Organization since 2023, Joe is a husband, a father of three, and a man whose Christian faith shapes how he thinks about leadership, success and legacy. Ep. 182 - Why Prospects Ghost You and How to Make Them Trust You | Ari Galper

Guest: Ari Galper, an EO Sydney member since 2025 and global authority on trust-based selling. Host: Linh Podetti, an EO Sydney member since 2022 and founder of Outsourcing Angel. Why do promising prospects suddenly ghost you, delay their decision or tell you what you want to hear? Trust-based selling expert Ari Galper joins Linh Podetti on the EO Business Podcast to explain why traditional sales techniques often create resistance—and how entrepreneurs can generate more trust without chasing, pressuring or manipulating prospects. Ari’s approach began after a sales call that appeared to go perfectly. The prospects loved his presentation and promised to follow up. But after accidentally pressing mute instead of ending the call, Ari heard what they really thought: they had no intention of buying and planned to keep using him for information. That experience changed the direction of his career. 📘 Get Ari’s book, *Trust in a Split Second*:https://trustbook.com Ari’s Comedy Show: https://unlockthegame.box.com/s/y2mwrylfp4vg1bu45t24btzssy0ebsfa About Ari Ari Galper is a global authority on trust-based selling, the author of seven best-selling books and a sought-after international speaker and sales growth advisor. After accidentally overhearing a potential client admit they had misled him, Ari transformed his approach from chasing sales to building deep trust.
