    Quarantine Advice (Rules?)

How are you guys holding up in lock down? Are you enjoying some good quality time with your families? Or is your husband already buried in the backyard?  This week Amanda has provided us with some great advice (or rules as she calls them repeatedly).   You don't have to think of them as rules if you don't want to, she ain't the boss of you. These will hopefully make you feel a little better about yourself in your current state and give you some hope for the future. Although, she does demand you shower regularly and also basically calls Jessica a psychopath (she's not bitter about it or anything), so maybe her advice is straight garbage. You decide. Do you have anything to add? Send in your suggestions and we will share them on a future episode; who knows, maybe your advice will save the world.  We know ours won't. ladylikepod@gmail.com.  What might save the world tho? Smut Club. Stay tuned for next week! (spoiler alert: it's a good one).

WTF Wednesday- Tiger King, Who Killed Don?

Well, who here has gotten so bored during their quarantine that they've binge watched the entire season of the Tiger King? Show of hands. Just about everybody? The highlight of this show seems to be that Carole may or may not have fed her husband Don to one of her tigers. However, there are apparently many other theories behind his death. Amanda was more than happy to use her quarantine time to do all the research for you about the different possibilities. Did he end up a delicious tiger treat? Was he a drug lord? Did he run away with a mistress to a foreign country? The world may never know.  But we can guess and make a ton of probably inaccurate assumptions! Did you watch the show? Are you upset about the number of brain cells that were killed in the process? Let us know your thoughts at ladylikepod@gmail.com.  Stay tuned next week for Smut Club!

    CoronaCrawl

Welcome one and all to our first, and definitely not annual, CoronaCrawl. This week we "bar hop" through our own homes. This is in no way relevant to you because you can't see where we are anyway. But! We'll describe in great detail our surroundings so you can close your eyes and picture it as though you're sitting right next to us. This will be especially enjoyable for those of you who are social distancing appropriately and are lonely like the rest of us.  Jessica arranged for us to sample some beers to try at each "bar", also not relevant to you, but you can gain little tidbits of beer knowledge that you didn't know you needed! We do all of these super exciting things while Amanda tells us all about her amaazzinngg trip to Mexico! Don't worry, because afterwards, she will never be allowed to speak of it again. We also announce the Smut Club book for April: Thunder by Willow Summers. Not themed this time! Yay! Follow us on the socials: Facebook or Instagram; or email us at ladylikepod@gmail.com. Feel free to reach out if you're lonely and need someone to chat with, Amanda will most certainly respond willingly. Jessica will thoroughly ignore you.

    Smut Club- Getting Lucky

YOU GUYS!!  Did you read the book this month?! Because it was actually good! Maddie stumbles upon and picks up a coin outside a pub, because like most girls, "oooo shiny!".  Then the arrogant bartender of said pub shows up on her doorstep claiming she took the coin, he is a leprechaun, and she now gets three wishes. It was a little slow to start but the ending really made up for it. We thought it was pretty dang cute, but like all things, could have used more banging. What did you think? Email us at ladylikepod@gmail.com and tell us if you like it as much as we did!  Make sure you listen next week for another episode of we have no idea what we are doing. But that's how we keep things interesting.  Follow us on Facebook or Instagram if you so desire, (We know we do. Desire that is. You; to follow us. Obvi.)

    The Luck O' the Irish

Do you believe in luck? This episode was inspired by the lucky four-leaf clover. Because it's still March and why not?  We delve ever so slightly into the history of St. Patrick's day and clovers in general. Then we meander on over to other luck related superstitions. We even dip our toes into a few of the super weird traditions out there.  How many of these do you practice in your everyday life? Did you know the history behind them? Or do you do something totally different and you've won the lottery like twelve times? Tell us your secrets! Email us at ladylikepod@gmail.com.  Stay tuned for Smut Club next week! The last Irish themed thing, we swear (only because it's the last episode in March). Getting Lucky by Sarah Spade. Do you think we'll get lucky (wink wink) and actually have a good book this month?! Tune in to find out! Better yet, read it and review it with us! Send us your thoughts via Facebook or Instagram.

WTF Wednesday- Merrows: Mermaids of Ireland

Despite what one might think, it is actually Merrows that are a pretty big deal in Ireland folklore, rather than the more obvious Leprechauns. So this week Amanda weaves us a fantasy tale of smokin hot green haired beauties.  She then immediately ruins it with facts like ugly red hats and sub-par man-maids. These sexy sirens travel onto land by magic, fall in love with their dream human, and make weird looking babies. Eventually their inner crazy comes out and apparently divorce is not an option so bye-bye dream human. No happily ever after for these Mermaids, sad face. That was a let down, but considering they're not real anyway, Jessica will have to get over it. How sad are you that this week's episode didn't lead to fantasies about Aquaman? Email your letters of disappointment to ladylikepod@gmail.com.

Don't Poop in the Pots Mary

Sometimes we stretch our reasoning a little bit to make the week's topic fit into our genre as a podcast (because talking about whatever we want is a genre?).  This week we bring you the subject of a poor gal named Mary who got a bad rap. How is this relevant? She was a carrier for Typhoid which, realistically, is in no way related to the Coronavirus.  Also, our friend Mary was Irish. And it's now March so we're gonna call it relevant AF. Back in the day Mary liked to cook food for rich families but wasn't super great at washing her hands. A Sanitation Engineer connected the dots and attempted to warn her of her wrongdoings, which she promptly elected to ignore. Ultimately, this beech lived the rest of her days in denial, and also in isolation. Have you heard about Ms. Mary of the Typhoid before? What did you think about our rationalization of this week's episode? Email us at ladylikepod@gmail.com! And last, but certainly not least, we announce the Smut Club book for March, also Irish themed: Getting Lucky by Sarah Spade. Read it and tell us what you think! We'll be reviewing it on the last Wednesday in March.

    Smut Club- Accidental Valentine

Well folks, we hope you weren't too excited about Smutentine's day because this one was yet another bomb.  We had high hopes for another "holiday" themed book but this one followed in the footsteps of our New Year's pick; the storyline had a lot of potential but the follow through was a giant fail. Unfortunately the review section that held the most content for this book was WTF; because seriously, what the eff? There were too many inconsistencies throughout this book, too much irrelevant material, and not enough good quality smut.  Lets face it, we could overlook pretty much everything else if there was at least some good smut. What did you think? Are we way off or did you agree with our assessment? Let us know via email at ladylikepod@gmail.com.  Check out our website where you can find all of our previous Smut Club books and episodes: ladylikepod.com.  Or if you're feeling dirty: slappingthebean.com.
