    American Psycho: What Do You Think?

    Guess who’s joining us this episode? It’s Oscar Bravo, our resident Millennial co-worker! Can you believe he’s never watched American Psycho? Working off of my latest "He Pick" Madison decided to invite Oscar to our little table top Tête-à-tête to give him a chance to finally watch this film and appreciate all the horrific satire, or something.  So grab your business cards, sharpen your wit, and remember: in this cutthroat world, it’s not survival of the fittest—it’s survival of the slickest.     Inherent Vice: Kate’s Bush

    Working off of Madison's latest "She Pick" I decided to be bold and choose a Director this time. Why did I choose such an artsy-fartsy Director like Paul Thomas Anderson? Check out the show for the explanation! If you're like me, you want your movies to be entertaining, have good and interesting characters, and make sense. I will give PTA 1/3 of those.  Here's some of the show's highlights: A tribute to our departed H-Man Are all these characters real or in his head? There's Martin Short, of course he's gonna sing!     This was a Madison “She Pick” using Christine Ebersol from my Mac and Me “He Pick!” Neither of us saw this movie, but the ads for it kept driving me crazy. Naturally, Madison picked it just for the revenge factor alone.     Mac and Me: Until You Whistle No More!

    This was my “He Pick” using Jennifer Aniston from Madison's The Break-Up “She Pick” Madison had never seen this incredibly unforgettable classic masterpiece, so I just had to share it with her, even if I had to break my own rules to fit it in. What can I say, it's good to be the King! I think this is possibly the funniest episode we have done so far! This is the one episode you can't afford to miss! Madison actually sheds tears!!!     The Break-Up: Do you have enough lemons?

    This was a Madison “She Pick” using Vincent D'Onofrio from my The Kid “He Pick” We both saw this movie when it first came out, and we were both hoping that maybe it got funnier this time around. Apart from a few funny scenes they gave away in the trailer, this sad rom-com isn't all that funny. But we did have a lot of fun discussing it!     The Kid: I Saw a Bluebird On My Way to Santa Fe

    This was my “He Pick” using the Six Degrees of Separation (or Kevin Bacon game) rule using Chris Pratt from Madison's Take Me Home Tonight “She Pick” I reviewed this movie back in 2020, and I was shocked Chris Pratt was so villainous and unrecognizable in this biopic about Billy the Kid which was actually all about Vincent D'Onofrio.  Listen to why I chose this movie, my connections to the cast, and why it is a film you might have missed out on before but it's worth watching now.     A Film Grouch Take Down of The SpyHards ”Little Nikita”

    Have you ever been listening to a Podcast and thought, "Man, I really need to let them know where they went wrong"? Well, I am not saying Little Nikita was the most epic spy movie ever made, but I do feel that the SpyHards folks were missing important context and details that I wouldn't expect a Brit or a Canuck to grasp. To whit, this super secret special recording. Plus, I needed to remind myself how to post and edit, because it's been far too long, actually.     Animal Crossing Chat - Let's Switch Gears

    We wanted to take a break from the film reviews this episode and talk about the latest pandemic phenomena, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. At first I thought this was a game for children, and to some extent, that's true. But I couldn't ignore how many of my friends were oddly obsessed with this little Nintendo Switch game that found its niche, or nook, as millions of people sit trapped indoors.  We gave it a go and have been playing it almost non-stop since! In fact, taking the time to work on this is costing me bells! [Uhm, that's the currency in Animal Crossing . . . we get into that, and more, in the show] So, if you have no idea "what's up" with #AnimalCrossing or #ACNH - we break it down for you. Here's some of the show's highlights: How did we get into this game?  Why is my island called Sanzpeech!  Nintendo is making bank during this pandemic. What are residents, and why are they amazing?
