    How do we faithfully navigate what is happening in our midst when everything feels different? Every season of transition brings moments where we have to wrestle with what has changed and what God may be doing next. But transition isn't simply about what we leave behind. It's about learning how God continues to lead His people forward. In 2 Kings 2, we see Elijah leaving and Elisha stepping forward. Through this moment of transition, we’ll discover a pattern of three: three locations, three invitations to stay, and three responses of faithfulness. Together, they reveal the tension of honoring what God has done while embracing what God is doing, holding both together in faithful continuity. Will you settle for what feels familiar, or will you continue following where God is leading?

That kind of humility doesn’t make someone smaller it creates space for something better than what self-reliance can produce. We forget more than we realize, names, plans, and the details of busy days, yet certain moments and memories still stay with us and shape who we are. Some people keep objects that hold those memories, simple things that carry stories and meaning far beyond what they are. A worn keepsake, a photograph, or a watch passed down through generations can do more than remind us of the past. They can bring us back to it. In the same way, life gives us moments that slow us down and help us remember what really matters, where we have come from, what has carried us, and what still gives us strength when life feels uncertain. In a shared moment of remembrance, bread and a cup become symbols that point to a bigger story, one of provision, sacrifice, and hope that stretches across history and into our lives today. They remind us that we are not walking through life on our own and that there is a deeper source of life and direction available to us. They also point forward to a promise that what is broken will not remain that way forever, but will one day be made whole again. So what are the touchstones in your life and what are they teaching you to hold onto?
