In this Netflix distributed motion picture, George Clooney plays the titular character, a not-so unfamiliar famous actor at a career crossroads who find himself wondering, what the hell did it all mean anyway? A sentiment I'm sure we all can relate to. Also featuring a quick digression in which we discuss Chris' short lived basketball career.

    Episode 50 - Happy Gilmore 2

    Your happy hosts hash on the latest Sandler flick, 2025's "Happy Gilmore 2." In this sequel to 1996's "Happy Gilmore," the man himself (Happy Gilmore) returns! And folks: Ball is golfed. Tees are tee'd. Putts are puttered. There's probably a mulligan in there somewhere. But is this a true continuation of a classic American tale (like "The Godfather Part 2" or "Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies") or is it just another dang bogey (golf slang for "booger")?

    We have another episode! I got tired of writing the synopsis schtick! In this one we talk about 1991's offbeat comedy "Shakes the Clown", directed by legendary stand-up comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. Chris tries to do a Bobcat Goldthwait impersonation! We talk about clowns! Next episode will probably be Happy Gilmore 2 folks. May God help us all.

    In this special episode, the Sandler Santas talk about Mixed Nuts, a classic Yuletide comedy from 1994. This Nora Ephron directed farce stars Steve Martin and a cast of some of 94's finest as they get a little bit silly with the holidays. And Adam Sandler is in it too. Let's take a moment to appreciate that we have now watched every major Adam Sandler starring movie as of the end 2024. Don't worry though, it looks like he's got a few more on the line-up for the coming year. And we could always do Shakes the Clown.

    Your Sandler space cadets blast off with another Sandler spectacle in Spaceman, a sci-fi tinged drama about a man in space heading out on an exploratory mission to find a cosmic cloud. And once again our own favorite comedic cosmonaut boldly traverses into places and genres he's never been to before. When we started this project, I had no idea I'd be watching so many quirky little Netflix melodramas. Never would have had this problem if we had just done Howie Mandel!

    Episode 46 - Leo

    Our animation experts analyze Leo, a 2023 Netflix animated film in which Adam Sandler plays an aging tuatara named Leo. As Leo reaches his twilight years he wonders, what did it all mean? What was the purpose of his existence? What kind of legacy will he leave behind? How does one find solace in this strange existence, in which we seem to drift aimlessly from moment to moment, desperately grasping for a meaning that seems to eternally elude us? And thus Leo sits in his tank with his friend Squirtle the turtle, eternally ignored, eternally alone, the wisdom of the years fading away with each passing of the day until he will finally drift into his eternal slumber. Also featuring Bill Burr and some kids!

    Episode 45 - You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzfah

    The Sandler schmucks are back, this time considering 2023s "You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzfah." This family picture stars Adam Sandler's daughter Sunny as a young Jewish girl, somberly reflecting on faith and Jewish identity in a world that seems hellbent on challenging these things. Why, God, must you throw such pitfalls in our path, us, your humble flock? How can we hold onto our belief in you when you curse us so? Actually, I might be getting this movie mixed up with the Coen Brothers film "A Simple Man." I think one of them had a pretty good period joke in it. Conversation topics include the vulgarity of youth, getting older and NOT losing touch, goddammit, and just where did all these wacky religions come from anyway?

    Episode 44 - Airheads

    Your favorite Sandler slackers have returned, with this much requested (by Chris) episode in which we air out "Airheads". In this 1994 comedy, Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler play a band of heavy metalers determined to get their demo on the air. But is this movie a slam dunk of goofy rock n roll comedy, or more of an airball?! Discussion includes: the meaning of counter-culture! Justin doesn't really like Brendan Fraser (sorry folks)! And is it possible to make good art over 30 (not a chance)?! All this and much much more!
