How to Let Go of the Pain of Your Past

We all carry a debt we cannot pay. Sin has left us with an impossible debt, one that no amount of good works, money, or effort could ever erase. Yet the good news of the Gospel is that Jesus was moved with compassion and paid our debt in full through the cross. Because we have been forgiven, Jesus calls us to forgive others. That can be difficult when the hurt is deep and the wounds are still fresh. Holding onto anger, resentment, and the desire for revenge can keep us trapped in the pain of yesterday. But forgiveness allows us to release that debt into God’s hands and find freedom from the past. Forgiveness does not mean pretending the hurt never happened or returning to an unsafe relationship. It means choosing to let go because God has forgiven us. When we understand the mercy we have received from Jesus, we can begin to extend that same mercy to others. Subscribe to Our Channel! When God’s Will Begins With You

We often pray for God to move in our world, but Jesus teaches us to pray for something much bigger: “May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” The Kingdom of God is not just something we look forward to one day. It is eternal, personal, and at work in our lives right now. While we wait for the return of Jesus, we aren’t called to sit back and simply wait. God’s will begins with us. It begins in our hearts, our homes, our families, our churches, and the places where God has given us influence. The coming Kingdom gives us hope for a day when sin, sickness, sorrow, and death will be gone forever. But until that day comes, we have a part to play. We can live for Jesus, encourage others, share our faith, serve faithfully, and use our influence to expand His Kingdom. The prayer “Your will be done” is an invitation to let God’s will be done through us today.Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock? The Right Way to Begin Your Prayers

What if prayer is more than simply asking God to fix what’s going wrong? When we pray, we are given access to the throne room of heaven. We come before a Father who sees everything, knows everything, and has a perspective far greater than our own. Prayer gives us the opportunity to step away from what is overwhelming us and look at our circumstances through the eyes of God. Sometimes we need to change our view by climbing up in prayer. When life feels uncertain, God remains constant. His love, grace, mercy, and purpose never change. We can come boldly before Him and find the help, strength, and grace we need for whatever we are facing. The first principle of prayer is praise. Before focusing on our problems, we can turn our attention toward the greatness and holiness of our Father. He alone is worthy of our worship. When we lift our eyes toward heaven, our circumstances may not immediately change, but our perspective can.Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock? The Father You Can Always Depend On

How we see God shapes how we approach Him. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He began with a simple and powerful truth: “Our Father in heaven.” God is not distant, angry, or waiting for us to fail. Through Jesus, we can know Him as a loving Father who cares about our lives and knows what we need. We all face moments when worry feels overwhelming and we wish someone could step in and make things right. Prayer reminds us that we do not have to carry those burdens alone. We can bring our needs to Father God and rest in the confidence that He is working, even when we cannot see the answer yet. God’s love, wisdom, grace, and power are more than enough for every situation we face. As we learn to pray, let’s take our eyes off our problems and place them on our Father. He knows you, He loves you, and He is more than enough.Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock? When You Need God to Intervene

Prayer can sometimes feel complicated. We may wonder if God hears us, if our prayers matter, or if we are worthy to come before Him. But the story of the Roman officer in Matthew 8 reminds us that faith is not about having everything figured out. It is about believing that Jesus has the power to move, even when we do not understand how. Prayer is our direct line to Jesus. We don’t have to fight through a crowd or find the right person to reach Him. Because of God’s grace, we can come to Him anytime, anywhere, and invite Him into the situations we face. There are people all around us who are hurting and searching for hope. They may not know how to pray, but they know they need help. God wants to use us as intercessors, standing in the gap and believing with others. When we pray in faith, we invite God into our circumstances and trust Him to do what only He can do.Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock? What to Do When Your Prayers Aren’t Answered

What do you do when you’ve prayed, waited, and still haven’t seen an answer? It’s easy to become discouraged, especially when it feels like God is silent or your circumstances aren’t changing. But Jesus reminds us through the story of the persistent widow that we are called to pray and never give up. Prayer isn’t meant to be our last resort. It should be our first response. When we face uncertainty, disappointment, sickness, financial struggles, or simply need wisdom for what comes next, we can bring it all to God. He isn’t an unjust judge who grows tired of our requests. He is a loving Father who hears us, and through Jesus, we have an advocate who welcomes us into His presence. Faith keeps praying when answers seem delayed. Persistence keeps us moving when we feel discouraged. And when we put our faith in God, we can trust that He hears our prayers and that He is working, even when we can’t see it yet.Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock? When Your Faith Is Put to the Test

What do you do when your faith is tested and the pressure to compromise feels overwhelming? Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, we all face moments when it would be easier to bow, blend in, or simply give up. But God calls us to something stronger: a faith that refuses to quit. A “No Matter What Faith” means trusting God even when we don’t know how He will show up. It means refusing to abandon our hope in Christ, hiding in the crowd, or compromising for convenience. When the fire gets hotter and the pressure gets stronger, we can still stand firm because our hope is anchored in God. You may not know what your next battle will look like, or how God will bring you through it. But you can trust that He will meet you there. Whatever you’re facing today, don’t give up. Keep walking with God, keep talking with Him, and keep believing. God still shows up in the fire. Subscribe to Our Channel! New to LifeRock?
