I swear I’m not being forced to write this review. I’m giving this podcast the maximum five stars based entirely on its merit.
I’m not being threatened to say that it’s an incredibly enjoyable show (something which might come as a surprise considering the uneven sound levels, the often fuzzy/buzzy recording, the fact that each episode has a shelf life the exact same length as the episodes themselves, the lack of notes with time stamps, the fact that it’s simply a bunch of experts giving gambling “takes,” etc.).
No, haha, my wife and my cat are, I assure you, perfectly safe as I write this and not a consideration in me typing the sentence “this podcast is absolutely the best part of the week and I often stay up until it drops at 1am AND their twitter account is one of only three I have notifications on for.”
You know I’m doing this of my own free will when I say that the content is not always of an excellent quality but that the fumbles and foibles (and blessed bad takes and bet loss stories) are the among the best parts.
I am absolutely not worried for my own wellbeing. I love this show.
