Getting Tedious

I can only imagine how this team feels. Bravo for their stamina.
Every update I hope for another tid bit of info.
This last episode I couldn’t finish, however. The ums were making me crazy. I know it’s because it’s unscripted, I understand how hard it must be for them. I fast forwarded to the end. Hope they work on this. Otherwise I’m stopping it.

Enough with the Conversations

At first it was an interesting story, but they are dragging it out with the additional “conversations”. It’s getting really old and boring.

Brilliant podcast about a daughter’s search for her missing mother.

I’m a listener from California. This is a superb podcast about a daughter’s search for her mother, a woman who has been missing for more than twenty years, and it is an on-going search happening right now — not in the past. This means that we aren’t just passive listeners — we might be able to help! Also any fans of the Teacher’s Pet or Trace or Casefile any other hugely popular Aussie podcasts will love this podcast.

The unique nature of Sally’s search means that we, as listeners, can contribute, and as this podcast and Sally’s search get more attention around the world, all families searching for missing persons will benefit as needless hurdles created by government bureaucracy (everywhere not just in Australia) and police can be challenged thoughtfully so that families get answers.

I highly recommend this podcast, as it is unique and is also archetypal at the same time. This is a podcast that will appeal also to many types of listeners — true crime fans, “family secret” fans, anyone interested in personal histories, anyone interested in the issues of abuse that have recently surfaced in Australian schools, and anyone interested in cases of missing persons. It will appeal to fans of the hit podcasts such as Teacher’s Pet as well as those who listen to missing persons podcasts like The Vanished. This podcast has great appeal, and it is mesmerizing to listen to Sally search and report her findings as these events take place.

The story is also archetypal (almost like the archetypes we find in fairy stories that appeal to us fundamentally as human beings): a daughter searches for her lost mother. It appeals to people of all ages as they relate to different aspects, to men and women, to people from countries all over the world, and the impact is far-ranging and astonishing.

Sally’s mother Marion, an extremely creative and interesting woman who was a celebrated and award-winning teacher, vanished into thin air, in very strange circumstances (the Belgium connection is one of the most bizarre and disturbing aspects) back in the late 90s. Someone took large amounts of money out of her account in increments that wouldn’t raise red flags immediately. There are many other mysterious details. This podcast tells the story, in real-time and as it continues. Bravo, and we wish Sally the very best!
