    AL052 || Epic Fails 2020

    June 28th, 2020 Tonight, Mike and I attempt to record another Chateau de Yamhill. In my opinion, we fail epically. However, that is what these logs are for. We’re not trying to hide our failures, no, we are trying to learn from them. So here is our epic fail in its entirety. Uncut, raw, and basically coming at you live. Whit that, if you have any feedback for us, shit, please drop us a line and let us know we are trying to serve you in the end anyway. I really appreciate all of you for sticking with us through this journey, it hasn’t been an easy one. Although it has been a learning one., and that’s what this Garden is all about to begin with. AL051 || The Garden is Still Growing

    June 21st, 2020 In this log, I go over what Mike and myself have been up to with The Chateau de Yamhill. What I have been up to in my own life that has kept me sane during these rough waters that the human race finds itself in right now. Which is mainly me getting back into video games. That old hobby coming back to my life and giving me ideas for the next direction to take Solykos Media. Then I touch briefly on my thoughts about the state of affairs in the world right now. Tune in and see how we are keeping the Garden growing. Thank you all for your support thus far and I hope you find yourselves safe during these trying times. AL050 || A Lookback During A Lockdown

    In this episode, I once again go on one of my famous rants. I wanted to get things together for a good episode as this was a milestone episode being that it is our 50th published episode. (Trust me we have made more than 50.) As this is my solocast that is a lot of work for one person to do. So once again I just stepped in front of the microphone and started spitting from the heart as I do. I have structured episodes in the past. I have completely winged them just to publish something for the week. At this point in this show, we have experimented with many different methods for creating a podcast. I have found that doing them like this is the most therapeutic for me. While I didn’t completely wing it, there was a little preparation that was done. However, it was minimal and really just gave me time to reflect on how far we actually have come in these fifty episodes. Now my wish is that in at least one of them I have provided value to your life. Ultimately that is the underlying goal of Solykos Media. To help improve as many lives as it possibly can. Even if that improvement is simple just to provide a moment of escape. Escape from the life that is running you in circles. While giving you some reassurance that you’re not alone in the struggle. AL049 || THE Video Game Distraction

    AL049 || THE Video Game Distraction Apr. 26th, 2020 This episode we bring you back to my Solo Studio Rants. I rattle on about where I have been, why I haven’t been publishing as frequently, and why I need to get back into the swing of things. Then I segue to part of a conversation I had with Mike on a recent Chateau de Yamhill episode. We chatted about videos game we have been getting into lately. Hope you enjoy my rants and the fun convos we have. See you next time in the Garden. AL048 || How Social Distancing Has Improved our Process

    Garden of The Mind || The Audio Logs Mar 26th, 2020 In this episode, Mike and I test out how it will work when we cannot be in the same place at the same time to record an episode. We got our systems set up in both our home studio. Mike messaged me to set up our first call so that we can 1. test the setups and 2. he could explain to me what he has been working in the background. I start the conversation by explaining to him why I was late for the meeting. I had a call with Orbitz because they failed to give us our airline credit when we called to cancel our Japan/Korea trip the first time. Then once I explain to Mike why I was late, we had to get through troubleshooting how we can screen share and go over things with each other. Then he goes into his idea for our website. Initial he was wanting to have a call so that he could get some feedback from me on what he has been working on. He needed a bit of direction from me on how to move forward with a couple of different options that he was setting up. All in all, it was a productive call, as it showed us more holes in our game that we need to tighten up. WHO knew that the COVID-19 disease would pave the way to help us improve our process and get back into the swing of things? Then when I got to editing this audio for this Audio Log, I have noticed a couple of things that we can do to improve our sound quality the next time we have one of these calls. Hopefully, you have a good time listening to us as we work through all this. AL047 || My life without Japan, COVID-19, and clickbait excuses

    Garden of The Mind || The Audio Logs AL047 || My life without Japan, COVID-19, and clickbait excuses Mar 19th, 2020 This week in the Garden of The Mind Audio Logs I speak to why I haven’t been as active with the Audio Logs this past month. I made it to a year, HUZZAH!!! I also speak to how the COVID-19 virus is affecting my life briefly. I think next, I will put together an episode soon on how I am staying healthy through this lockdown. Having to cancel my trip to Japan and Korea due to this virus. Since I'll be home for a good while, now I can get some work in on my other projects, like this one. I know right?! This is my dream come true, working from home! However, this wasn’t on my radar for how I would receive that dream. Well, I guess, like everyone else I will have to make the most of it. Hope to bring some fun stuff to the show here in the next few months, stay tuned. AL046 || Podcast Glob Goose

    This week in the Garden of The Mind Audio Logs we get to do our first edition of Chateau de Yamhill. I didn’t publish the whole episode of the Chateau, but I brought you the first part of our conversation. We had a few dry parts in this one, which only highlights the holes in our game. Which, honestly, gave us a better idea of how to improve our segments. I hope you enjoy our stumbles. After we recorded this we worked on a song, and I feel like it’s Mike’s best work yet. You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/mrnphp/soaring-above-trees Well that’s it for these show notes it’s getting late and I love bed. AL045 || Maintaining Healthy Boundaries

    Jan 30th, 2020 I had some time tonight to record a quick episode. I had a friend over and she lent us her voice for a disclaimer, which I and greatly appreciative of. I feel it adds a little more of a level of professionalism to the episode and will transfer over to all of our projects when it is needed. Which in turn meant I had already gotten into the record mode. So, when she left, I decided “Hey let’s throw an ep at the folk in the interwebs for their listening pleasure.” Also gave me an opportunity to use the disclaimer for the first time. Did not really have much planned and ended up just ranting about some advice I gave a coworker today who had come to me asking about how I would handle a certain situation. I hope you enjoy!
