109 - Dark Lord Day MMXXVI Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord . . . Recap!

If you don't know: (From 3Floyds DLD website: https://www.3floyds.com/dark-lord-day/ ) "Dark Lord Day celebrates the annual release of 3 Floyds Brewing’s ultra-limited Dark Lord Imperial Stout — one of the highest-rated and most sought-after beers, which has gained a cult-like following since its release in 2004. This event is the one and only place where fans can obtain bottles of the elusive brew." This week, Rich joins co-host Mitch to recap his trip to 3 Floyds Brewing’s annual Dark Lord Day festival in Munster, Indiana. Centered around the release of the brewery’s highly sought-after Dark Lord Russian-Style Imperial Stout, the event has become one of the most recognizable craft beer festivals in the country, drawing thousands of attendees each year. Rich walks through the overall festival experience, including this year’s beer lineup, exclusive bottle releases, festival logistics, live music, and the trading culture that surrounds the event. He and Mitch also discuss how Dark Lord Day has evolved over the years, why the festival continues to attract dedicated craft beer fans from across the country, and what stood out most from the 2026 event. The episode also covers the atmosphere at the brewery, the process behind obtaining specialty variants, and whether Dark Lord Day still lives up to its reputation in today’s craft beer scene. To finish things up, the boys switch gears to talk about Stoke Haus's great beer and BBQ, a killer combination that can't be found anywhere else in Nashville! Oh, and one more thing- the boys dive into the Dark Lord Day website, so if you're listening to this episode while stationary, crack open a beer, kick back your feet, and watch the video format to get all the good stuff! 🎤 The Foamy Heads Podcast 📍 Website: https://thefoamyheads.com/📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/foamyheads📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thefoamyheads/ ▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@foamyheads3563 #beer #craftBeer #beerFestival #3Floyds #newEpisode

107 - Cedar Glade Cabin Fever Fest

The Foamy Heads hit the road (well… barely) and went live from the inaugural Cabin Fever Beer Fest at Cedar Glade Brews—and let’s just say, Murfreesboro showed up in a BIG way. Broadcasting alongside Steve and Scott, our friends from The Brewery Underground Podcast, we soaked in a full day of craft beer and community. The festival brought together more than 30 breweries from across the region, pouring everything from crisp lagers to wild experimental batches, all while supporting a great cause in Read To Succeed! We got to drink beer from incredible breweries including The Black Abbey Brewing Company, Crazy Gnome Brewery, House of Dogs Brewing, East Nashville Beer Works, Living Waters Brewing, Marble Fox Brewing Company, and TennFold Brewing—just to name a few from a stacked craft beer roster. And the guests who jumped on the mics with us? They were just as awesome- From our favorite craft beer enthusiast Michelle, to the owners of Cedar Glade, Common John, House of Dogs Brewing, they all jumped in to share the love on the mics! And it wasn’t just about the beer. The fest also featured local vendors, food trucks, DJs, and even a cigar lounge-style experience from Murfreesboro's own Whisky & Sticks, bringing in cigar culture alongside the craft scene for a full sensory experience. If that wasn't enough, Whisky & Sticks owner CL, jumped on the mics to talk beer and cigar pairings! From killer pours and great conversations to live music and that unbeatable local beer community energy, this episode captures what Cabin Fever is all about—shaking off winter with a cold pint in hand and good people all around. So crack something fresh and join us as we relive one of the best beer fests to hit the ‘Boro. The boys had a great time in 2026 and we can't wait for next year's Cabin Fever! 🎤 The Foamy Heads Podcast 📍 Website: https://thefoamyheads.com/ 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/foamyheads 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thefoamyheads/ ▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@foamyheads3563

106 - Piano Keys and 30 Years of Sippin'

🎙️ Special Guest: Ale Sharpton 🍺 Atlanta’s own craft beer ambassador, writer, and influencer, Ale Sharpton, has been shaping beer culture for three decades — 30 years of hops, hip-hop, and heart. 103 - Jody White, Roy Milner: Cowboy Singer x Peaceful Side Brewery

Mitch and Rich are thrilled to welcome Jody White, son of the legendary singer-songwriter Tony Joe White, and Roy Milner, co-founder of Peaceful Side Brewery in Maryville, Tennessee. Together, they’ve created something truly special — a celebration of Tony Joe’s swampy, gritty legacy through both sound and taste. If you know Tony Joe White, you know his nickname — The Swamp Fox — and his signature style that blended blues, rock, and country into something uniquely his own. From the unforgettable groove of “Polk Salad Annie” to the haunting soul of “Rainy Night in Georgia,” Tony Joe’s music shaped generations of artists. His songs have been covered by icons like Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Kenny Chesney, and Hank Williams Jr. Jody, who now manages the Tony Joe White Estate, has made it his mission to preserve and expand his father’s creative legacy. Recently, the Estate released a newly expanded edition of Tony Joe’s 1980s album The Real Thang — complete with bonus tracks, behind-the-scenes stories, and even a co-write with outlaw country great Waylon Jennings. But this celebration isn’t just about music — it’s about beer, too. 🍻 To honor the release, the Estate teamed up with Roy Milner and his crew at Peaceful Side Brewery to craft a beer that captures the laid-back, funky, and soulful energy of Tony Joe himself. The result? Cowboy Singer, a smooth, refreshing international lager named after one of the standout tracks on The Real Thang. This limited-run beer has been popping up around Nashville, turning heads and raising glasses wherever it goes. Clocking in around 4.5% ABV, Cowboy Singer is light, crisp, and endlessly drinkable — just the kind of beer you’d want in your hand while spinning Tony Joe on vinyl or kicking back on a summer porch. In this episode, we dig deep into how the collaboration came together — from the long-standing friendship between Jody and Roy, to the creative process behind choosing the right style of beer to match the vibe of The Real Thang. Roy shares his journey from his days brewing at Blackberry Farm Brewery to co-founding Peaceful Side Brewery, where craftsmanship and storytelling remain at the heart of every pint. We talk legacy, artistry, and the common thread between brewing and songwriting — that same soulful intention that makes something real. So crack open a cold Cowboy Singer, cue up The Real Thang, and join us for a conversation filled with great stories, good vibes, and a heartfelt toast to Tony Joe White — the original Swamp Fox — and the people keeping his spirit alive today. 👉 Peaceful Side Brewery Instagram: instagram.com/peacefulsidebrewery/ Instagram👉 Tony Joe White Official (Estate) Instagram: instagram.com/tonyjoewhiteofficial/Instagram 🍻 Follow The Foamy Heads: 🌐 thefoamyheads.com 📘 facebook.com/foamyheads 📸 instagram.com/thefoamyheads 🎧 Spotify #FoamyHeadsPodcast #PodcastEpisode #CraftBeerPodcast #BeerAndMusic #SwampRock #SouthernSoul #TheSwampFox #TonyJoeWhite #TheRealThang #CowboySingerBeer #PeacefulSideBrewery #TennesseeBeer #NashvilleBeerScene #BeerCollab #BreweryCollaboration #MusicLegacy #CraftBeerCulture #DrinkLocal #SupportLocalBreweries #CheersYall
