A Prayer For The Family, 2020

A prayer for your entire family.  Source: www.rockthis.org  Song: So Will I, Hillsong UNITED Scriptures: Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away (Acts 3:19). When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these (Galatians 5:19-21). If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you (Matthew 6:14). Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you (Colossians 3:13). Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone (Colossians 4:6). It is not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth (Matthew 15:11).  But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible (Ephesians 5:13). God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad (Ecclesiastes 12:14). Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you (Job 22:21). Submit therefore to God; resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). And He was saying, “Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will” (Mark 14:36). We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer (Proverbs 16:1). So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them (Deuteronomy 31:6). For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone (Mark 16:15). Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say” (Exodus 4:11-12). So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields (Luke 10:2). An open rebuke is better than hidden Love! Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy (Proverbs 27:5-6). Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble (Proverbs 13:20).

    Prayer: Ever-Increasing Faith

A prayer for ever-increasing faith. Story: Mark 9:17-29 Song: While I'm Waiting, Travis Greene Scriptures: 'Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy, and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. ' - Philippians 4:1,11-13  'For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; -'Ephesians 2:8 ' “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' - Matthew 6:34 'For we live by believing and not by seeing. ' -2 Corinthians 5:7 'The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith [our ability to confidently trust in God and in His power].” Pay attention and always be on guard [looking out for one another]! If your brother sins and disregards God’s precepts, solemnly warn him; and if he repents and changes, forgive him. Even if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him [that is, give up resentment and consider the offense recalled and annulled].” ' Luke 17:3-5 'And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric], but [they were delivered] in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit [operating through me] and of [His] power [stirring the minds of the listeners and persuading them], so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom and rhetoric of men, but on the power of God. I came to you in [a state of] weakness and fear and great trembling. ' -1 Corinthians 2:3-5

Story and Prayer Time: Give Me This Mountain

A prayer asking for the strength and anointing of Caleb. Song: This Is A Move, Tasha Cobbs Story: The Wall of Jericho - Numbers 13:1-4, 17-23, 25-33 EASY, Numbers 14:1-11, 20-25 EASY Scriptures: PSALMS 27:14 AMP “Wait for and confidently expect the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the LORD. Numbers 13:30 KJV “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” MATTHEW 14:26-31 AMP “When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. But immediately He spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I! Do not be afraid!” Peter replied to Him, “Lord, if it is [really] You, command me to come to You on the water.” He said, “Come!” So Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw [the effects of] the wind, he was frightened, and he began to sink, and he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus extended His hand and caught him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Proverbs 8:12-14 EASY “I, wisdom, am like a woman who lives with careful people. She knows many important things. And she knows when to speak. Those who are afraid of the LORD hate wrong things. Some people think that they are great. They think of themselves as better than they really are. And they say false things. I do not like those people. I tell people how to do the right things. I am wise and I am strong.” Job 37:7 EASY “People need to see what God can do. He made them and he rules the weather. And when the weather is bad like that, people are not able to work.” Hebrews 5:14 EASY “People who have grown up eat proper food. In the same way, people who have been believers for a long time should understand more about God's message. They should have learned about what is good and about what is bad. They should know the difference between those.” PSALMS 49:20 AMP “A man [who is held] in honor, Yet who lacks [spiritual] understanding and a teachable heart, is like the beasts that perish.” JOHN 8:43 AMP “Why do you misunderstand what I am saying? It is because [your spiritual ears are deaf and] you are unable to hear [the truth of] My word.” Follow: @MannysVillage (Instagram) Give: www.mannysvillage.org/donations   Listen: bit.ly/MightyMannyPlaylist

    Storytime: In God's Cloud

A song, story, and scriptures about abiding in God's cloud.  Song: Soul Will Sing, Travis Greene  Our Bible lesson today is about an event that is far more amazing than anything you can imagine. In fact, it may the most spectacular event in the entire Bible. It is the story of how God sent Moses and his brother, Aaron, to tell Pharaoh to set his people free. This story is adapted from www.sermons4kids.com. Scriptures  Nehemiah 9:17-20 NRSV - “they refused to obey, and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them; but they stiffened their necks and determined to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and you did not forsake them. Even when they had cast an image of a calf for themselves and said, ‘This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,’ and had committed great blasphemies, you in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness; the pillar of cloud that led them in the way did not leave them by day, nor the pillar of fire by night that gave them light on the way by which they should go. You gave your good spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and gave them water for their thirst.” Exodus 13:21-22 NKJV - “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.” Exodus 33:8-11 NRSV - “Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise and stand, each of them, at the entrance of their tents and watch Moses until he had gone into the tent. When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses. When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise and bow down, all of them, at the entrance of their tent. Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then he would return to the camp; but his young assistant, Joshua son of Nun, would not leave the tent.” 1 Kings 18:41-46 NRSV - “Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of rushing rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; there he bowed himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees. He said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” He went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” Then he said, “Go again seven times.” At the seventh time he said, “Look, a little cloud no bigger than a person's hand is rising out of the sea.” Then he said, “Go say to Ahab, ‘Harness your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” In a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind; there was a heavy rain. Ahab rode off and went to Jezreel. But the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; he girded up his loins and ran in front of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” Follow: @MannysVillage (Instagram) Give: www.mannysvillage.org/donations   Listen: bit.ly/MightyMannyPlaylist

    Declare Healing

It is so important to continually speak healing over ourselves and our children. Life will try to pull you in every single direction, but your faith must remain. You must speak out what you want to see. If you don't have the ability to speak, just play this prayer and agree in your heart. You are healed.  Song: So Will I, Tori Kelly  ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ - “He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-5‬ ‭GNTD‬‬ - “But he endured the suffering that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne. All the while we thought that his suffering was punishment sent by God. But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received.” Psalm‬ ‭107:2‬ ‭GNTD‬‬ - “Repeat these words in praise to the Lord, all you whom he has saved. He has rescued you from your enemies” - ‭‭ John 10:10 EASY - “The robber only wants to take away my sheep. He wants to kill them. He comes only to destroy them. But I have come so that they can have true life. And so that they can have everything that they need.” Galatians 3:13 EASY - “So, God's Law shows that it is right for God to punish us. But Christ took that punishment away from us, because God punished him instead of us. It says in the Bible: ‘When people hang someone on a tree to kill him, it shows that God has punished that person.’” Psalms 103:1-5 NLT - “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Jeremiah 30:17 NLT - “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord. “For you are called an outcast— ‘Jerusalem for whom no one cares.’”” Follow: @MannysVillage (Instagram) Give: www.mannysvillage.org/donations   Listen: bit.ly/MightyMannyPlaylist
