Last week we looked at how the Shepherd desires to feed us; this week we focus on how He desires to water us. Water is even more essential than food, and Jesus, our Good Shepherd, leads us beside peaceful streams and offers living water that truly satisfies. Just as sheep depend completely on their shepherd for food, water, protection, and guidance, we are called to trust and rely fully on Jesus. Today’s focus is on being fed by our Shepherd.     Words: Words of Holiness

Our words can speak life or death, healing or destruction. And The Word (Jesus Christ) is the most important thing that should be coming from our mouth. Words identify who we belong to! Words can be sinful! And our words can help lead us into holiness! Scripture * Leviticus 19:2 * Psalm 34:11-14 * Proverbs 21:23 * Luke 2:47 * Ephesians 4:29-32 * 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 * Philippians 4:8 Sermon Points * God wants to teach you how to speak! * God wants you to speak like Him! * God wants to bring you out of this world and into his! Closing What comes out of our mouths comes from the treasury of our hearts! You can’t fake it. You might suppress it for a time but eventually the heart will produce its fruit! This is why we need God to change us, to give us new hearts, to give us new words! You want your words to be changed. Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Allow God to change your heart. Change what goes into it, and you will change what goes out!     Words: Sinful Words

Subscribe to our Youtube Channel! http://www.youtube.com/@GrahamChapel Introduction Words are powerful and can speak life or death, healing or destruction. The Word, Jesus Christ, is the most important thing that should come from our mouths, because words identify who we belong to. Today we are talking about how words can be sinful. The mouth created to glorify God is usually the first thing that sins against Him. As we read in James 3, the tongue is a whole world of evil set on fire by hell itself. The words that come from our mouth can easily be sinful. Our desire as Christians should be, Lord, if there is sin falling from my lips, reveal it to me and help me to turn from it! Scripture * Colossians 3:8-10 * 1 John 5:16-17 * Romans 6:6-7 * Ephesians 5:4 * Romans 14:10-13 * Proverbs 20:20 * Leviticus 20:9 * Matthew 5:22 * Psalm 19:12 Sermon Points * You are called to get rid of the old! * There is a sinful language! * Your new nature comes with a new language! Closing How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Don’t just rely on what the pastor preached. Open yourself up to the Lord and be willing to say, “God, I don’t truly know you. I don’t know all the things that I do that displeases you. But reveal it to me so that I can confess it to you and change with the help of your Holy Spirit! Help me to surrender everything, even my words to you!” If you truly believe that Jesus died to save you and free you from your sins, why would we ever think that we could go on sinning? Don’t let your words be the thing that condemns you before the Father! Nothing brings to reality more than the words we speak, and nothing identifies you more than the words that come from your mouth.     Words: The Word

Jesus is referred to as the Word many different times throughout scripture. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to proclaim The Word. The most important words that should come from your mouth are words about The Word. Every word that you choose to use or that idly falls from your lips will either help you proclaim The Word or hinder you from proclaiming The Word.     Words: Words are Power

We often throw them around with little thought of their impact and power. Studies show that words can physically affect the world around us, and Harvard research reveals how profoundly the brain responds to the words we hear and read. What words are you communicating audibly, in writing, or through expressions? Each wields a power that can give life or death, build up or tear down.     Time: God Can Extend Time

Closing As we close out today, what kind of bargaining chip do you have for the Lord to extend your time? Since I have been to Graham I have had the privilege of knowing many people live into their 90’s and 100’s. At least 13 people live in their 90’s+. The didn’t drink, smoke, do drugs, didn’t gamble, didn’t overeat, didn’t party, and they were not perfect. Several of them expressed deep regret for sin in their past. But they loved the Lord, committed themselves to Him, and lived Holy Lives? What’s your bargaining chip for the Lord to extend your time?
