That is a loaded concept, one with a lot of potential, but potential is a two way street. The potential to make something great comes with the potential to screw the pooch hard. I know I'm a bit late here and it's already been nominated for 16 bazillion Oscars, but what do those assholes know? Nothing! Is The Father an indie classic or is it's ambitious too lofty? This was the mentality of the filmmakers behind Chaos Walking, who somehow created a movie so unbelievably bad that not even Lionsgate would release it. Of course, it's been a long time since 2017 (the original slated release) and there were $15 million in reshoots, so I say completely discrediting the movie due to it's past may be unfair. Of course, it may be justified too, but it may also be unfair, I don't know, watch the episode. Will Chaos Walking make you walk away from theaters or walk back to them? There's a lot in that sentence that may strike fear into the hearts of Tom and Jerry fans. Firstly, the 1992 movie was... iffy... to say the least, and cartoons getting the CG treatment usually ends in a dumpster fire. But here at The Movie Hoppers, we know no bias. Sure everything is stacked against the old cat and mouse, and the chances of it being acceptable is slim to none, but you know, there's a chance. A biopic about the leader of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, Judas has been an award show sweetheart and is being called the best movie of the year. That being said, you can't always trust critics, but that's why there's The Movie Hoppers! We aren't critics, we're cooler than that, we're cool-ics! Trust me! Anyway, to be fair, everything is going for Judas it has an excellent cast, an interesting story, and a good title (you don't get that much).
