    I sit down with Ken Lozano over the pods first zoom call (@KenLozano; @KenLozanoPhotography; @SatorialFunk; @AldoFormalwear) to discuss the creativity needed to be a fashion designer and how he pairs that with fashion photography. How did he get his start in the business? What role has family and friends played in getting him where he is today? Why start a new second fashion brand in addition to the family business he runs and what goes into it? We talk a little about our old Harry Rosen days and how that has helped him along the way as well as his overall philosophy on work and life.     Epi 8 - Jonathan Kozub: Professional Sports Photographer for the NHL and Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club

    I sit down with Jonathan Kozub (@point_shot_photography) and talk about probably the rarest genre of photography: Professional Sports. Jonathan has been shooting professional hockey for nearly 20 years at the highest possible level - the National Hockey League and the Winnipeg Jets. He also shoots for their minor league affiliate the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. So whats it like shooting professional athletes? Do you get to take their photo and then go for beers after the game? How much actual work is it to shoot a sporting event? How is it to be published in the biggest hockey magazines in the world? We talk about what it takes to work with tourism companies both as an employee and as creative director of your own firm. If you're like me you wonder how does one even start your own firm.     I sit down with the one and only Josh Lavallee (@Yoshigrams; @Yoshipixels) aka the rooftopping king of 'Peg City. This is an action packed show - our longest ever (but don't let that scare you off - trust me you will be entertained (Russell Crowe voice)! We talk about a whole wack of interesting topics: From how he started shooting concerts and how he gets in row one so he can shoot his favourite rappers, the somewhat surprising locations and companies that haven't wanted to let him shoot despite his stellar portfolio, and why gear doesn't matter at all. We also tackle what we think are some core issues with the city we love, why he loves it despite previously wanting to be anywhere else all the while how said issues can be fixed. And \why does he shoot when he labels himself #NotAPhotographer?     A little something different this week: A crossover episode done on location with @ProlexMedia in their Osborne Village office and Studio.  Part One is located over on their Podcast - The Prolex Podcast.  They interview me about who I am, why I started this podcast, what I shoot, and what I think about a variety of different topics. We also watch and critique a commercial in their weekly review segment.  Then the tables are turned and I sit in the host chair, which is what you are about to hear. I speak with Alex, the founder of Prolex Media and his right hand man Jordan and ask how and why the company was created, what they focus on as a brand identity, what they offer to their clients as well as what they do not. We also expand on Instagram topics from last week before then discussing about some of the amazing locations photography has taken him - even a tragic moment when his gear failed him at the worst moment imaginable.  And finally we have a passionate round table on Canada's new drone laws.
