I found this podcast about a year ago, while looking for something that would remind me of and educate me about life in the Eastern Sierras. We visit there a few times a year, and I hate it when we have to leave, and always look forward to when we’re getting back.The format covering a local Adventure, a great book, and hosting a Local with a story to tell works pretty well. I’ve learned a lot about the area, and the hosts sound so thoroughly and genuinely thrilled to be living in the area and sharing the stories they’ve learned, it really draws you in to listen. I appreciate their sharing their deep knowledge of books as well, and have found a couple of good ones through their recommendations. Thanks Oxygen Starved!

It’s great to hear from people who live in my rural community and to hear about all the adventures to go see and what books I need to take a look at!

Listening to these podcasts is easy and enjoyable while I take a morning stroll! I have time to ponder and follow up with the great locations and books that are reviewed on the podcast. This station is eclectic in all three aspects of adventure, books, and conversation. The guests who appear are a treat and often not the people we get a chance to hear from enough, with their genuine and well spoken thoughts. Give it a listen!
