I'm lucky enough to have met him and am grateful for all of his extraordinary contributions to humanity. He gave selflessly, encouraging others towards greatness. Susan shares her story of starting out as an EMT and how she came to work along side one of the greatest minds in medical technology. She talks about their adventures together while helping to create one of the most innovative ideas in health care for the Big Island of Hawaii.    I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Bakken shortly after his 94th Birthday.     The Power of Possibilities: Part Two - A conversation with Olympic Super Hero Paul Wylie

    THANKYOU for joining me for Episode 6 of Zapgirl and the Podcast!!! Have you ever had a conversation with an Olympian where they tell you what their secret was to winning an Olympic Medal?? I was lucky enough to do just that recently and I'm thrilled to share my conversation with Olympic Super Hero, Paul Wylie. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his lovely wife, Kate, and their three amazing kids. Paul won the Silver Medal for the USA in Mens Figure Skating at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. The thing is though, he was the underdog... but he focused his energy and opened himself up to the possibility of actually winning! He talks about how he put himself in a grateful state of mind, even when it doesn't come naturally... sharing his process on how to accomplish what you set out to do.  Oh... and this is a two-part episode, so PLEASE be sure to listen to the next episode to really embrace the full picture of Paul's professional and personal journey of resilience.     Firstly, THANKYOU for even arriving here to listen to this... I'm so excited to tell you I have a Podcast!  I've been thinking about starting a podcast for a while, but have found 1,000 other things to take care of instead of sitting down and just going for it.  After hearing about PodX Nashville, I thought attending might give me insight, tips, and tricks on how to's for my podcast. After I arrived, I saw that Netflix had set up a free studio for all attendees to record their own podcast episode.  This was it. I was out of excuses. I signed up without hesitation and, 30 minutes later, walked away with my first recorded episode. I was nervous (not sure why), but soooo happy that I just went for it.  With Zapgirl's Podcast, you'll hear about life-saving, life-living, and life-giving stories. It'll be as raw and organic as I can make it. (Confession: I'm a perfectionist and will have to try REEEEALLLY hard not to edit too much) Do you have a story about a time where you were hesitant to start something you'd always wanted to do, and finally did?
