    288. T**s, Teeth, & Trauma: The Swan Documentary (Hulu) w/ Dana (The Bravo Investigator)

    Join Mani and Dana as they dive deep into the controversial The Swan documentary on Hulu, based on the show of the same title created by a woman on a mission to make ugly ducklings" more beautiful...with a team of plastic surgeons, dentists, and other critical eyes, Nely the creator sorts throw women who would be open to lot of transformations. They are faced with MANY twists and surprises --a few harmful--to determine groundbreaking television. They got it...by any means necessary. The two discuss the shocking transformations and the psychological impact on the participants by way of abusive show runners, manipulation, and some drastic medical trauma. Did the show truly empower these women, or was the creator out to make a bag? Where was the after care or thorough care of these women? So many mixed responses to transformations and even more traumatic events (nude photoshoot???), secrets and gotchas and a lot of botched unnecessary work--that did not age well.
