    42. Emotionally Intelligent Family

After finding out about a recent miscarriage, they chose to let their 2 and 4 year old in on what was going on. It can be easy sometimes to want to shield your kids from experiencing pain or sadness but those emotions are not bad if taught to deal with a healthy way. Allowing your kids to experience a let down, a loss or sadness in a safe environment is helping set them up for high emotional intelligence when they are older. Every step of the way in this process with your kids, you should discuss, teach and empower them to know it's ok to feel and bad things may happen but what you do after is what matters. Join Beau and Shanna as they process through how and why they parent this way. You will find keys and feeling empowered yourself in moving forward in teaching your kids and growing in their emotional intelligence.
