I'm Brian Johnson and I am a simple man with many complexities. I am a Christian, a drummer, a police officer, a father and husband. I have studied the martial art of Aikido and was an amateur street boxer. I have studied radio broadcasting, acting and modeling. I wrote poetry and debuted as a Gospel rapper for a short time. Now I'm making a podcast that will allow me the opportunity to meet other people who share my name. New adventures are my niche and maybe this podcast will be my ticket.

    Since I was a kid I was destined to be a fighter. Viewed as soft, I was a target. But it didn't take long for people to learn I ain't one to mess with. Facing alcoholism at home; bullying at school; drugs in the street, I was lost trying to find my way. Fighting gave me a way to channel my pain and I learned to fight through mental anguish as well as physical hurt. But my spirit was my toughest opponent.

    In October 2009 I wrote an article on Facebook detailing how God taught me to pray. In November 2019 I was reminded of that time so long ago on a night that remembering Jesus teaching the disciples how to pray helped me to sleep. Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus instructs the disciples to "Pray this way" and leads them in The Lord's Prayer. Psalm 4:8 David teaches us how to pray for a good night's rest by asking God to slow his mind and give him peaceful sleep. Do you pray? And if you do pray, are you praying correctly?
