Amazing podcast, but you're killing me with the sexy gogs. Go to your optometrist and get a refraction for "hobby distance" you both stated 6-8 inches, which is excellent... have your wives remeasure the distance from the bridge of your nose to your model at the CLOSEST you can hold it (regardless of how blurry it looks... the closer you can get comfortably, the better the magnification will be) if you don't have an eye exam coming up, pay the 60 bucks for a Walmart optometrist to do it practically on a walk in basis. Make sure he measures and records your pupillary distance (the space between your eyes) AT THAT DISTANCE. Now take that prescription to ZenniOptical online (there may be other cheap Chinese sites out there) and pay the 15-30 bucks for your glasses... don't get sucked in to any add ons like coatings, don't pay for any higher index of refractions (thinner lenses) then it tells you you have to. BAM.... $1500 dentist sexy gogs but WAY BETTER. Game changer... no light shenanigans, field of vision limitations , just painting minis at IMAX theater magnification.
